eufy Security Outdoor Cam Pro 2K is a wired 2K Wi-Fi surveillance camera that is completely free of the bounds of an external system hub- instead storing all the information locally in the 32gb SD card that comes with it. Check your high-quality, encrypted, 2K footage whenever you need to via the eufy Security app and only be alerted of the things that matter with AI Human and Pet detection. Outdoor Cam Pro is not compatible with eufy HomeBase. The USB adapter is not waterproof, a cover is required for outdoor use.

Additional Note; Pretty sure all time low. These are the 2k cameras, but only available in the color black.

With the firmware/app update in December of last year this is no longer the case 🥳
You can get USB cables up to like 43' on Amazon. Flat style ones can be run thru sliding windows easily enough, easy to run round cable thru the upper corners of your garage door's weather stripping flap/molding, just run an extension cord close to where you want one, etc. You're dealing with 5v 1amp power between the USB power adapter and the camera, so there's basically no way you could get shocked or anything else bad would happen.
There are certain key differences between wireless and wired cameras due to nature of technology.

Length of footage - A battery powered camera is not always on to conserve power. Most use PIR (Passive Infrared) sensor to detect motion. Once the sensor detects motion, Camera turns on and starts recording. No matter how good is the speed of camera being turned on, it is not zero, a wired camera starts recording as soon as it detects motion so in most of the cases a wired camera will capture more.
Preroll - Since they are always on, most of the wired cameras keep a rolling buffer of live footage in memory(3-6 seconds). Once they detects motion, they can add this footage to the clip. This gives you clip with footage of what happened a few seconds even before camera detected motion. This combined with above makes a massive difference in experience specially for doorbells where you only get back of delivery guy in most cases with a battery powered camera,
2X7 Recording - Most of the battery powered cameras will not give you an option to record 24X7 even when connected to a power source. There are few exceptions like google with their Gen 2 outdoor camera but most don't
Notification speed - This varies greatly between brands as it depends on a lot of factors like onboard hardware, scale and speed of cloud services, quality of object detection etc but in principle, a wired camera from the same brand will give faster notification then a battery powered camera

My recommendation would be to always go for a wired camera unless power wiring is not at all possible.
Hope this helps.

Compared to the Wyze cam v3, this is $15 more. There are pros and cons to each, but I think Eufy wins this one. And it comes with a 20ft cable, too! In for 8.

The base is actually decent enough... The magnetic mount, tapes/screws into whatever you're mounting it, and then you run the 5" or so cord from the camera under a metal hook that prevents anyone from really stealing the camera, even if they were to knock if off the mount.

Don't really want black, and while I tested one of these out, outdoors, next to an Indoor 2K camera from Oct - Jan, and found this Outdoor 2K to miss 1-2x as many cars and other motion events at night, using the same settings, for this price, I'm willing to give them a try again.

question for any Eufy camera owner, do you experience intermittent error message "Request timeout. Please try again" when accessing live view on https://mysecurity.eufylife.com?

i got that error continuously for 2 days this week, and then it just resolved itself without any change on my side.

Their website has always been crappy for live view. I only use the app.

Is wireless not the better way to go for outdoor? Those wireless ones are getting pretty responsive.
