Got this last year on the same type of promo. Battery life is incredible and I was very pleased with the display. But, I often get error messages telling me TMobile (a preinstalled app) has stopped running, people don't get some of my texts and I don't get some people's texts. Pleased with TMobile, but I feel that even for "free" this phone is not really worth it.

That may be true. But the OLD Samsung phones (Note4, Galaxy S5) I traded in had NO value either. At least I got rid of old phones just sitting and collecting dust, and now have two spare 5G capable phones, should I loose my current 5G higher end phones. OR modern spares for out out country friends to use while visiting.

Can someone chime in on the phone itself? I never heard of the brand before (although I don't necessarily follow the topic.) Seems like it's a 'budget' phone and pricing is usually around the low $200 mark so why is this a Slickdeal? I'm genuinely asking.

And if T-mobile wants me to upgrade so they can shut down their network, they are going to have to cough up a better deal. I also don't agree with cellphone manufacturers that charge ridiculous amounts for a new phone. As a point, I have had a cell (car) phone pretty much since inception and have NEVER paid for a phone. It sucks that as a society we have accepted this business model. I would assume phones of yesteryear were far more expensive to produce than something nowadays. I can't believe it is common practice to buy a phone like it's a car (with monthly payments to match.) It's mind boggling that people are o.k. spending almost $1500 for a phone that they will probably have for 24 months or less before upgrading again…
Post #317 pretty much sumarizes why this is a good deal.
*Overally happy w/ your T-Mobile service/coverage.
*NO plans to leave T-Mobile for 2years.

As for the phone itself.
*YES, lower end phone vs the EXPENSIVE Apple and Samsung.
*If your needs are simple: texting, phone calls, web browsing, simple photos, simple videos, you will be fine. If you are a high end user/editor, you will need a more robust phone. I would speculate that this simple lower end phone will meet the needs of 90% of the worlds population. But everyone wants the latest and shiniest Apple/Samsung.

This deal is for you:
*Happy w/ T-Mobile overall.
*NO plans to leave T-Mobile for 2 years.
*Have old obsolete phones using/collecting dust. I traded my old Samsung (Note4 and Galaxy S5), that have NO value anywhere, 4G, sitting in a junk drawer, so why not. When the new Nord N200 arrives, I will have two spare 5G capable phones to use, allow out of country friends use when visiting, or keep in reserve should I loose/break my expensive Samsung phones (Note20, Galaxy S10e).

I just the received the N200, but I didn't get any instructions on how to return my trade in. What's the normal routine?

When I did the online order, I looked up my trade in, a Samsung Galaxy S6, and it generated a trade in value of $216 vs a cost of the new phone of $218. Anyway, I'm a bit confused regarding how to return the trade in or what I need to do next.

Then You should call T-Mobile or go to your local store.

See "Trading in your old device?" [t-mobile.com] in middle of the web page.

I pay $53 per month for 9 lines unlimited everything, including taxes and Netflix. There are others that can even beat that price, so I wouldn't get too cocky with your strutting $120 for 8 lines.
I'm paying 60/mo for 1 line Tmo pre paid. I must be doing it wrong 😑

I was able to trade in my 8 years old Nokia Lumia 635 😁. I couldn't submit order online since I'm not the primary account owner. T-force rep was able to submit the offer, waiving fee & shipping. Paid ~$13 in Taxes and dropped the phone in local store. 👏👏

Just traded in two really old Kyocera Edge C5170 phones. The CSR did waived the $30 (x2 = $60) assisting fee but I have to pay up front first then they credit me back for the next billing cycle.

Also I got a sms from TMO, saying I can also drop the phone off to the retail store? Anybody done it this way instead of shipping it back? I rather just drop it off because there's a tmo store down the street from me.

They can only take the ones that got a UPS label, not the ones that got a USPS label.

I put in my trade-in device which was accepted as a valid trade in but it's asking me to add a line. I thought this offer did not require a line to be added. I'm an existing T-Mobile customer. The phone I'm trading in has no line currently and I don't want to add an additional line.

I put in the brand, model number, IMEI number etc but the only available option to move the order forward is "add to a new line".

Any suggestions on how to do this without adding a line?
