I bought one yesterday, priced matched to Amazon price at a local Best Buy. Using it last night and today I'm considering returning it as the screen is too small for my uses. I wanted one as a secondary to my 11" M1 Pro but I'm back on the Pro now as my eyes felt like they were going cross eyed. I know… the Mini is bigger than the iPhones but for reading and such the mini scaling seemed off and was causing eye strain. I think it has to do with the distance you hold an iPad or prop it on a table vs holding an iPhone in your hands closer. I guess I could poke around in accessibility and up the text sizes but at this point I may just return the iPad. I guess I'm getting old if I'm complaining about screens lol.

For me, I love the Mini screen size... but if you're used to 120hz (aka ProMotion) it's gonna feel awful to use. I bought and I'm about to return. Even with the newest hardware, it just "felt" sluggish coming from 120hz. Rumor is maybe 120hz version will be released eventually.

I returned mine also. It was gathering dust. Too small. Bringing my phone just a little bit closer to my eyes accomplished the same thing and was more convenient.

Sounds like a valid rumor

I don't see this gen as a big leap from the 5th gen. If you are ok with the same ppi levels, you could go with the older model and gain the 3.5mm jack as a bonus. You only lose out on a small screen size increase. As for the M1 model in the future, iPadOS is at a state where it doesn't make a lot of sense on such a small device (cannot really use all this processing power). The only real improvement would be on the screen front and FaceID.

Not to mention how much the display dims out at an angle.

I set my iPhone 13 Pro Max down next to the iPad Mini 6 on my desk and the iPad looked dim and washed out. Apple seems to have really cheaped out on the screen.

I also have the Jelly scroll issue. Very noticeable some places (sites like Amazon) and not so much other (Apple Music).

Not really. Costco doesn't extend the warranty on tablets. Might as well get the 5% discount with RedCard. But Costco return period is significantly better.

You can use the Costco VISA at BB or Amazon and also get 2 extra years warranty. By not buying it at Costco, you don't get the automatic 2nd year regardless of payment method.

I love my 5th gen iPad.

I use mine for jotting notes, and sketching throughout the day and it's great for that.

Haven't been able to justify the upgrade to a Mini 6 yet since Apple decided not to do miniLED with this one.
