Enrollment limited. Must first add offer to Card and then use same Card to redeem. Only U.S.-issued American Express® Cards are eligible. Limit 1 enrolled Card per Card Member across all American Express offer channels. Your enrollment of an eligible American Express Card for this offer extends only to that Card. Offer valid for Google Fi purchases only. Valid online only at fi.google.com and app via Android devices only. Valid only on purchases made in US Dollars. I just did it and have not received an Amex notification... though with these types of deals I typically do not. Can't say 100% sure if it works, I'll update if I see a credit.
I can't tell if the deal counts the service charge or just specifically ordering multiple phones... which I did a week ago before this offer

All you need is just chat with the rep and request the credit since the transaction did post with Google Fi.

Is Fi allowing you to pay early even when you have a credit balance ?

They always process via Google pay nothing new. Once the charge posts we gotta see what it is. Most likely it will be Google Google fi
But another user said that Amex should approve it on manual review, if it's not credited automatically, so you may just have to do that.

Just pay another month or port it to a prepaid provider Tello, T mobile connect for cheap 1 month service etc
I'm trying to see if I split my device payments over 4 months & leave fi after I got amex cash back.
If you haven't paid early with Amex cc yet may be you can pay early a token amount and let us know how it is reflected.
Then for prepayments, people are reporting it's Google Google Fi, which doesn't get credit.
It just has to be done within 30 days. You can start the activation process and leave it at the port in step or just wait and activate it when you get your SIM.
