I own this phone for a few weeks now. It stutters right out of the box just navigating its UI and browsing the web. If you don't believe me, this is also mentioned by gsmarena, the verge, cnet, xda developer, android authority, android central, and almost every single review.

What this is:

A phone with big numbers, 64MP camera, 120Hz screen, 4 cameras, althought these numbers don't necessarily translate to better photo or experience
A phone with super long support. It gets updates until 2027, if you choose to keep it for that long
Samsung's customization of Android. It looks more like Android 11 rather than native Android 12

What this is not:

something that is perfect minus the flagship features (and I expect it to be given its MSRP)
a good camera phone

It is a good phone on paper. But Samsung stumbled on the execution. At $350 it isn't too bad (that would be the regular price). I would not consider it a good deal.
We just shot a video review comparing it to the iPhone SE 2021 last week but it's not going to be finished for a week or two. The (spoiler) TLDR of it is that if you want a cheap way to get into the Apple ecosystem, go with the SE. Otherwise, the A53 "wins" in most areas. It's a great budget/mid-range Android device and for $350, I personally don't think you can beat it.
Kind of expensive. Motorola mid rangers are comparable but cheaper

If this recorded 4k60fps, I think I would've upgrade to this from a note 10 plus. Sadly no 4k60fps so I'll wait it out another generation. This is the few phones which still have the sdcard slot.

There's no 256GB model but this one has microSD card slot expandable up to 1TB.

I personally think the OnePlus 8 at $250 is a much better phone than a53
