Woah! this is a pretty good price for the heatsink version.

the comparable non-heat-sink version was $132 after coupon before taxes

Folks in this market might wanna search for "GM7000" on amazon. The 3rd party manufacturer who makes the gen 4 acer predator drives is selling the 500/1tb/2tb versions, fulfilled by amazon.

Cheap. Fast. Might need the 'heat spreader' scraped off and a real heatsink put on it.

According to Newegg's product description this is compatible with the Playstation 5 on software version 21.02-04.00.00 or higher. For the inquiring minds that will inevitably ask.

Been running this in my PS5 for a while now.. excellent drive.

I paid 179.99+tax from bestbuy.

So this current price is definitely a slick deal

That's good to know because back in February I installed a WD Black SN850 2TB in my PS5 :-)
It was on sale on Newegg and I had to bite. Props to Sony for making it SO EASY to install. I didn't want to bother with 1TB because a big chunk gets blocked away for the system, so I opted to wait for 2TB to go on sale. I'm sure prices will be better for Black Friday.

But this here is a great price for the 1TB.

Why would the PS5 block off "a big chunk" of the 1TB? It doesn't.

Just got this from Best Buy on their daily deal for $138 after CB. Excellent drive and super easy install in the PS5.
