STEP 1: Sign up for a Sony Rewards account and link your PSN profile. If you click on ACCOUNT after signup you can link both Movies Anywhere and your PlayStation Network account.
STEP 2: Add the 3 month PSNow subscription to your cart (link above) and complete checkout. If you DO NOT have any points you will pay $40. If you DO have points already then you will pay less depending upon on how much you have earned.

Edit: I read the rest of it, so got it. You would need to maximize your PS Plus before June to get the conversion.
