The deck has a lifetime warranty though. I believe EGO uses a plastic deck as well, and I've had no issues with that for 3 or 4 years now.

It features dual active battery ports and includes two 40V 6Ah batteries, providing up to 70 minutes of runtime which is ideal for yards up to ¾ acre.

Not to mention, a metal deck will eventually rust. My 15 year old Crastman I replaced had a few holes in the deck. I think these plastic decks will outlive the mowers.

I would've agreed with you before I purchased my ego, but after running over a brick, I'm now a believer in plastic decks.

Great deal. I'd buy one if I didn't buy a different battery mower last year. Consumer reports gives this model a good rating.

Not much of a sale if Home Depot has it at $599 with two batteries where battery by itself is $200

Anyone that could compare this to the Toro 60V deal? I grabbed that deal and the mower is fine but batteries are a fortune and the Ryobi 40v is full of deals with batteries. Also what is HD return policy on a used electric mower? I've used the Toro twice. It's about 45 days since purchase

Can't wait til mine comes in. Went single over the cross blades for easier maintenance & $60 savings. My yard's smaller & grass isn't too long as-is.

Ryobi batteries you can usually get the cheapest of any platform. I would return Toro and get this tbh if there is cost savings. Just say it didn't meet your expectations lol.

FYI I ordered an extra 7.5Ah battery for $131.99 as a backup. The mower will run on one or two batteries at a time.

For a smaller yard, may be able to make due.. But for a larger yard, nice to have peace of mind w/ another battery & dual power.

Ugh ordered the 20" version that too reconditioned. Would have totally jumped on this one.
What's the difference besides shorter blade and 1 battery?

All the mowers (and many other items) are 40%. Snagged the 20" non propelled for around $170 from DTO.

Don't get a 20" unless you enjoy spending more time mowing.
