How is this game compared to Monster Hunter Rise? Also, worth getting on the Nintendo Switch, or much better on PC via Steam?

There is a demo on the switch you can try out (also a monster hunter rise demo). I've really enjoyed Monster Hunter Stories 2. Never played the first one.

It's 60fps on pc, the switch is alright for portable but the fps drop a lot and some how it get worst when you play on dock, if you want collect physical then go with the switch but if you want to enjoy it without the anoying fps drop go for the pc

Besides the better performance on the PC version. The switch version has the exclusive amiibo support and skins you can unlock if you collect amiibos. You can scan up to ten amiibos a day for free items through the fortune telling. Only once a day on Pc. I got it for Switch since I collect amiibos and prefer physical copies of games. Plus the game looks awesome on a OLED switch.
