yes, they're older, but still great machines, at least the ones with an 8th gen processor. While not a 7390, I've been rocking a 7490 (same laptop, but with 14" screen) for a few years now and still works great (though the battery needs replacing by now). Also, the non 2-in-1 7390s also have touch screen options. Also, if anyone's interested in these, feel free to check out ebay too, there are some 8th gen 2-in-1s with similar specs starting at $200 (though needing a new battery), granted they may have less return and warranty options, but something to consider as both routes are used.

You would be far better off with a new I3 or even a Pentium. These will not even run Windows 11.
how would those "not even run windows 11"? what's wrong with an 8th gen i5 or i7 laptop?

The ones that are 8 gen are more expensive and not quad core for notebooks. You can get a I3 1125g4 for $400 or so and if you watch closer to $300.

They will continue to get updates after 2025. You can also run Android Apps on it.

I have been using 11 for months with no problems. Not much of a upgrade but it functions.

This may end eventually. Time will tell. Intel warned security updates will end for such systems just not when this will happen.

You are absolutely right you can force 11 on older processors.
