I think these offers are screened carefully now unlike in the past where 2-2 cards used to get offers. it used to show up on multiple gold cards earlier not anymore. glad I cancelled all and keeping only platinum.

Got 50% off $80 max so I bought a $160 Netflix gift card. But Amazon's conversion ratio is 0.7 cents per point, which calculates to 1.05 cents per point with the 50% discount which is a bit under the "good" point valuation which is in the 1.1 to 1.5 range. So, a decent deal here but I wouldn't do less than 50% off.

You only need to use 1 mr point to get the discount. Never pay full with mr point.

Tip on how to filter items sold and shipped by Amazon:

Needs to be shipped and sold by Amazon directly -- apply at least 1 reward point during checkout for discount

You can add this to the browser URL to only show Amazon items:

what's really weird is being asked to choose which one you "prefer" if you would rather have "points" or "cash" and you choose cash and then later you complain about the fact that you cannot use points. ...c'mon! you have a cash card; stay out of the points program. /s /s /s

If you're talking about Blue Cash (or BC Preferred) or similar, it won't work. Those cards reward you with automatic cash back, rather than with Membership Rewards points earned/redeemed based system.
