Redmonds are not waterproof. They are barely water resistant. Wet grass is enough to soak them.

I can confirm this. I work outside in Seattle and these are worse then non waterproof because they let water in but don't vent water out.

But on a positive side urlhasbeenblocked has 15% off for Columbia wear. Have to see if that rebate comes in. If it does, the price will indeed be slick, at $40.

Can't stand this company. Ordered them on the last deal. Address was my old one 2 hours away and I updated it then had to join their club or whatever to get free shipping. Did that and purchased. After clicking submit realized it had reverted to my old address 2 hours away. Immediately tried to cancel or update and there are no means to do so. Next support hours listed were on Sunday via Live Chat. Live chat was not open on Sunday even though they responded that they had Sunday hours. Monday morning the chat rep can do nothing about it because they already shipped. Ended up shipping USPS and hit my forward. Disappeared for 2 weeks and now have arrived at my local post office where they want an additional $14 to cover forwarding fees. I've since bought Merrells that arrived in 2 days via Amazon and remembered why I use Amazon 99% of them time and avoid anything else.
