Seems to have decent battery life. Around 12-14 hours depending on usage.

I personally think the Costco deal for this is better, unless you really want the white version.

Never been a fan of how MSI laptops look, but this seriously looks very good. Kinda has that HP Envy look to it.

Linus Tech Tips did a review of the 1TB SSD/32GB RAM
https://youtu.be/3sa-ZqveD9E

The negative that I took from the video is about the hinge when picking up the laptop that screen would flop down. The rest feel like personal preference or nitpicking...

As for battery life, laptopmag.com and techradar.com report about an 8-9 hours on the low end and others report about 11-12 hours.

Not bad except for that low-performance 4-core CPU that's will chew through you battery.

Graphics I(ntel) vs CPU Horsepower.(AMD) at this price point and form factor. Yes, a weak CPU compared to AMD, but 4-Core/8-Threads is plenty good enough for me and the integrated graphics on this are significantly better than AMD. Plus graphics haven't improved on the newest Intel 12th gen. I don't know that 8-9 hrs of battery for real-life usage is "chewing up" battery exactly, so I think this is not bad, period.
If I were to cr@p on this, it would be because of the other issues people have brought up, i.e. questionable reliability and customer service with MSI, not likely to get the rebate without fighting for it, things like that.

That is the question that's repeatedly kept me from buying this machine over the past year, and I still don't know the answer! Plus if you go to MSI site to try and get info about cost of enhanced and/or extended warranty, you'll find nothing! I think they say you have to write to customer service, that's what I remember. I can't deal with that, although I will say that I would buy from NewEgg without hesitation, they've been good lately. I wouldn't count on getting the rebate though, but that's true everywhere.

I have this one for a few weeks and it definitely feels premium. The hinges are a bit loose when you move it quickly but I don't see it as a big deal. It also gets pretty hot under heavy CPU usage.

Other than that it feels really nice. I'm not sure what's that comments about weak CPU above from AMD fanboys. The computer feels snappy and I see no difference at all with my 16 core desktop powerhouse.

If you are looking to run 4k VR on a 2.5 pound ultrabook then prepare to part ways with a bit more than $750.

The only thing which is upgradable is M.2. NMVE SSD. The rest is soldered.
