Costco Item # 1592085
Kit contains 6 AA 2300mAh, 4 AAA 800mAh, and one 1 Hour (!) charger.
These are top quality Japanese made cells. The charger is not so great though, as it heats up the batteries far too much (charges AAs @ 2.5A!). Still worth it just for the cells if you already have a decent charger. Charger is good for "jump starting" over-discharged batteries that won't charge with many newer chargers that have a low voltage safety feature though.
Not sure what generation of Eneloops these compare to. They are rated 2300mAh, which is lower than the Eneloop Pro, but higher than the standard Eneloops. Cycle life info is not provided.
This was found in SW FL area, I don't know if this is regional or warehouse specific, so YMMV.

What a ridiculous way to get rid of them.
Put them up on a myriad of for sale apps/sites and give them away if you don't want them. Someone will.
Reduce, reuse, recycle - note that REUSE is before RECYCLE.
Having many chargers is convenient in storm country, as you don't have to keep everything charged all the time, but if a hurricane/blizzard is headed your way, you have enough notice to load up a charger in every free outlet and get them ready.

The page with a round up of all the chargers that have been tested is: https://lygte-info.dk/info/roundC...%20UK.
It's got a lot of information and I've not gone through it recently to figure what is the "top" charger these days and it looks like the site hasn't had any chargers added to the list since 2020.

Packaging indicates batteries Made In Japan for Energizer Brands, LLC. Individual batteries are marked the same.
Charger is made in China.
Who cares if they are pre-charged?? Charge them!
I think the point that UNO335 was making was not the convenience of having to charge them, but more about a characteristic of the batteries themselves. For the batteries to come pre-charged, they must be "low self discharge" cells. That means they will hold their charge over a longer time while sitting in storage. This is a benefit in that you can charge them then store the charged cells and they will be ready to use when you need them. The packaging being labeled as pre-charged indicates that type of cell, which is preferable to other batteries which would discharge their energy even just sitting in storage. I'm interested in this deal as well, and hope to snag some on our next Costco run.
Or just educate your kids not to mess with electricity
