easy, do a search for 'surge protector' - optionally include the word 'anker' - and open any well-commented thread. issues boil down to listings including a 'joules' rating but not being able to further expamd on claims - most often by saying nothing about *clamping* voltage. furthermore they will never include images of the back of the product that would allow you to get some detail on the specs and any claimed certifications.

lastly, often in the case of anker, claimed certifications might apply only to some component, like the cable, not to the whole unit.
one of the reviewer on amazon posted a picture of their wall socket exploded, thats scary.
"last time, there was a lot of back and fourth, causing less clicks to purchase this paid sponsored post. This time I want to try to keep it simple so you can simply click and buy this fake china spam"

None of these are UL tested.https://static.slickdealscdn.com/ima...lies/frown.gif If you're going to be 'stacking' on an outlet, I suggest you get a power strip that's been tested/certified as safe. And yes, they make plenty that are UL/cUL tested/certified.

Really need to pull this post before people think these are a good idea. They're not. Irresponsible at best.
1000% agree! The wiring in these certified surge protectors is terrible.
Bought 12 similar ones and 9 of them had reverse polarity on ac outlets. This is an electrocution hazard.
One had the hot rail in complete contact with the ground rail from one stupid little mistake! This is a fire hazard!
Stick with a known brand that has a UL sticker hologram!

The Amazon comments indicate that it "Conforms to UL Std. 1363". That's not the same as "UL Approved". Personally, I'm not too crazy about the idea of using an electrical device that isn't UL Approved. My house and family are too valuable to risk some Chinese product that doesn't meet US and UL approval standards.
