I switched to simply almond milk that only has 3 ingredients and it's shocking how much better it is. You instantly realize it's.
But... it means nothing really.
Sample size too small, no control group (didn't receive Gellan Gum).
Specific points:
"Transit time" increased in some, decreased in others. That's normal if you just tracked people normally. Increased and decreased by how much? A minute? A day? A week?
"Fecal bile acid increased in some" Again... can vary per-person normally. Also, is this a bad thing? Maybe it's the next miracle supplement that'll be pushed?
"Serum cholesterol concentrations decreased significantly " Seems like a good thing right?
and the "nail in the coffin" as it were:
"The data indicate that the ingestion of gellan gum at a high level for 23 days caused no adverse dietary or physiological effects in any of the volunteers. In particular, the enzymatic and other indicators of adverse toxicological effects remained unchanged."
So by your posting to this "Information" you disprove your concerns.
Have a nice day.
I didnt have the coupons others reported, still a good deal. Ordered.
Thanks OP

I have no interest in putting a fecale bulking agent into my body. Plus, I've tried both. Simply almond flat out tastes better. Gellan Gum is just an attempt at getting water (what almond milk really is) to be the consistency of milk, which is thicker. No thanks, you have a nice day too and keep drinking what makes you happy.
You're right! They're really hard to find. I have to stock up at Harris Teeter when I go. It's also significantly more expensive at 3.99 per 46 ounces. It's worth it for me though.

It won't ship before I have to travel; otherwise I would give it a shot.
Only a $1.50 savings, but every little bit counts.
Great reviews; someday I'll try it.
