Been thinking of upgrading to a more powerful router though.
AC1900 for $37.44 on the last SD is a brute with Merlin, addding a second for ether extension and wireless coverage was painless.

The only real downside is slightly lower power output on unii-3, but I'd imagine individual tolerances can sway it either way.

Seriously with Merlin these "cell spots" are a fantastic deal with features that rival routers selling for 3-4x the price.
Merlin is so easy to install, much easier than say tomato or DDWRT. Although some may like the latter with configurations left to your imagination the Merlin interface is a walk in the park for most to configure.
I am considering replacing that older ac68u. Which option would be best?

What about the newer ax1800s in a different thread? It's $20 more than this 67p but its wifi 6... wouldn't that be a better deal?
