Bigger bonuses. Then once it's time to renew, you downgrade to a no annual fee card.

No matter whatever card you get from them, Cap One is wasted credit inquiries. They like to pull ALL three bureaus. Most other cards only pull one. Nothing Cap One offers is worth 3 inquires on your reports.
Cancel after one year. So effectively a $650 bonus.
Show me a no annual fee card with a ~$650 bonus... I'll wait.

This is really helpful; they make it sound like it's super liberal and transfers to anything/everything. Apparently not so.
I miss the days of Continental Airlines and American Express Gold card... one a year they would have a promotion where you transferred Amex points to Continental and get a 25% bonus. There were a series of years I was pulling in 50K miles just on Amex transfers.
Add on Chase's Continental Airlines 25K checking account bonus (originally allowed 5 accounts open at a time with rewards, then they got wise).
People share their glory days were when they scored 3 touchdowns in a single game for Polk High.... by glory days were Continental Airlines miles.

25% (or better) airline transfer bonuses still happen multiple times a year with multiple airlines, and not just for amex points either.
yes
you will have virtual credit card instantly
however, you might need to do additional verification (i had to call them and upload my driving license) to use my virtual card
their shipping sucks.
they cannot expedite shipping (i spoke to 3 diffferent customer care rep).
it seems, they have expedite shipping available only for existing users who requests for new replacement card (lost/stolen cases)
What did you say to the rep to get the virtual card number? They refused to do so but I need to for a purchase

You do not need to call customer care. After you install capital one mobile app using your login and password, you can see your virtual card number inside the Mobile App.
Check and let me know.
Then try to make the purchase using virtual card number.
if payment is declined, then call customer care to submit ID proof (driving license) to activate the virtual card number.

Thanks! I can see it in the mobile app but not on the website.
This is my primary card. Never had an issue redeeming miles either through their portal or applying them retroactively to a flight purchased directly with an airline or travel agency (believe it will find airline charges automatically within 90 days of purchase). You can also just apply the miles towards your statement balance if you don't travel much.
Best travel perk is the free Global Entry/TSA precheck that saves quite a bit of time depending on the airports you frequent.
The Capitol One lounges are only $65 without a card FWIW, and the only one is currently in Terminal D at DFW. Just went last week, was pretty nice. On par with AA's Admirals Club and the like, will be a much better travel perk whenever they finally get around to putting them in more airports.
Aside from that Capitol One's Eno virtual card service is pretty nice and I wish everybody offered something similar.
global entry is $10. countless people sell this. the way is they alreayd have GE but they have cards that offer GE $100 credit so they lend that card to pay for your GE and you paypal them $10. I paid $10 for global entry for each of my family members
Declined with 805 credit score, very strange. Decline reason is soo many open cards. Has anyone successfully got them to change their mind by calling reconsideration line?
That 300 is hard to use, as flights via Google Flights show half of what Capital One portak does. Am I missing something ?
For my travels I do see a difference but not 50%.
I see at most a difference of 10-20 on a 300-600 flight. Also when you book via capital one the insurance to make it refundable is much cheaper than what the budget and premium airlines are offering these days.

Where do you get these accounts from? I need to pay for GE and TSA pre for a family of 5. I have 2 cards that cover only one of this.
So I need 10 GE/TSA PRE applications. Any help appreciated. Thanks.
