Bigger bonuses. Then once it's time to renew, you downgrade to a no annual fee card.

No matter whatever card you get from them, Cap One is wasted credit inquiries. They like to pull ALL three bureaus. Most other cards only pull one. Nothing Cap One offers is worth 3 inquires on your reports.
Cancel after one year. So effectively a $650 bonus.

just got denied for a Chase credit card 😦 how soon after should I apply for another card if it's with a different bank? I'm looking into the Cap one venture
I wouldn't wait if applying with another bank. I have two Cap one cards and got the second one right after the first as soon as I hit the bonus spend requirements. I can't fathom the business model but I've gotten thousands in bonuses over the years and haven't spent a dime more than I would have otherwise. If you can use a referral link, let me know.
$400 a year fee but you get $300 in travel credit back and you get 10k miles each anniversary. Basically "free" once you account for those and the lounge accesses if you value all of that. If you don't fly often it's obviously not worth it
Yup also to add use it for free global entry another $120
I recently applied for venture x card. Will I be eligible for this card? Also can I combine the point from the two cards?
Yes you can they are treated as different product i.e. Venture and Venture X. You can get SUB for one only once and then have to wait for very long time to get again.
My AF is going to hit at the end if this month. If I downgrade to a card with no AF, I've heard reports that since this is the original card #, CO won't allow another round of bonus in 4 years. Can someone who knows about this confirm one way or the other? TIA.
So I got this card with the 75k points promo. Pluses: Comes with two memberships to Priority Pass, yours and another card holder. Downside: Points have very limited transfers to other travel partners. Points usage for reservations must be made on their website, which has limited numbers of hotels.
Priority pass is only apply to venture x, not venture, and cardholder can bring 2 additional guest with you.
I think Venture X is still the best bet... For $395 fee.... you are getting $300 in travel back... and another 10000 points ($100) value every year... and also the same 75000 bonus points.
Seconded. The fee basically comes back to you as long as you travel once a year and the flat 2% back is great if you're not someone in to matching matching cards to purchases.

[a NON-business card with that bonus!]
Easy to do $400 to $500 through checking offers... I just did two $400s so $800 with 10 mins of my time - temporary direct deposit changes from payroll..
Is there a way to transfer capital one venture miles to another friend. He would give me more than 1x points as he has elite status with pretty much all popular airlines.
I tried the transfer options and it would
Allow me to transfer only to my freq flier account. Which airlines allows miles transfer without a big fee

I'd wait for the 75k + $250 promo again.
Not sure if the 100k promo is still around (hit or miss via referrals)
