If you are worrying about a few hundred dollars for a video game system then you might want to seriously prioritize your money , budget and stop hanging out on these forums where regardless of the "deal" you are spending money you likely should be saving.

I'm not trying to be mean but you either have the money or you don't. There is no gray area. If you are sacrificing or struggling to spend a few hundred bucks, then find a different hobby that's cheaper and work on having savings so you are not paycheck to paycheck

I don't understand the argument. Why not just own both? I use my PS5 for exclusive titles and games that can take advantage of the adaptive trigger, and my Series X for exclusive titles and co-op games. Xbox in the living room, PS5 in the game room. No conflicts

Yawn. An Xbox One updated with an ssd and no exclusive games made to show off what we're now finding out that it couldn't do. Bare minimum gen console. If you want next gen, buy a PS5 and enjoy the experience that a Dualsense controller can give you, and without all the DRM.

It's just so crazy to just go to the site, add it to cart without any issues and even get to the checkout page. I can't wait until the PS5 and computer GPUs get to that point soon.

Buy this. Not a PS5. PS5 is trash. I owned both and sold PS5 immediately. No quick resume, not as powerful as XSX, PS5 controller is trash, etc etc. I can share more if needed. XSX is the way to go. Trust me.
Yeah quick resume is awesome not to mention option for cloud gaming. Lotta games don't even need to install or at least can check them out first via GamePass to even see if they are worth installing to hardrive which fills up pretty quick even tho it's 1TB LOL

Why stop there, why not just get a second house for your second console?

Congrats on having the disposable income to "por que no los dos?" the latest gen consoles, but many people don't have the budget for two consoles and two sets of games.

Thank you for the comments versus the PS5. I just have a switch so this will be welcome in my living room.

I have both and PS5 is not some grand experience over Xbox. Main reason I prefer Xbox is it supports my monitor and I prefer the Xbox controller. Only game that really feels like a new experience is Astros Playroom but I beat it the first week of owning the console and no other game I've played has taken advantage of the PS5 like it.

DRM is definitely better on PS5 I agree with you there. But I hate how they removed featues that I enjoy on my PS4. Those features are USB game saves, themes, and web browser multitasking. That web browser one is a big downgrade for games like Terraria where you need to use a wiki and on PS4 you can load the wiki in the browser while playing the game and double tapping the PlayStation button will quick swap between the game and browser thats kept loaded in the background. It's an amazing feature which is only on PS4. I also don't like the user interface on PS5 vs PS4, it is a speed boost but navigation obviously took a back seat when they designed it.

If Xbox DRM was improved I really would buy more physical games but as it stands it's a mostly game pass console for me and I buy everything physical on PS4/PS5 because most games with no internet can just be put in and installed without any worries of the Xbox side and the whole home xbox situation. Which is funny because I experienced what people are complaining about now when my internet went out but like 2 years ago which is why I stopped buying as many games on Xbox.

Other than DRM the biggest downgrade on Xbox is capturing clips which is really amazing on PS5 but couldn't get any worse on Xbox. A nice advantage of Xbox is the Dev mode that lets anyone become a indie developer or install any app someones shared online for example emulators. Nothing like playing the old Mario Kart in 4K with the whole family in 4 player using four Series X controllers. It really is a blast being able to play the games I own from past consoles with improved visuals on one console.
