The AfterShokz are so-called "bone conduction" style, utilizing transducers that vibrate on your temples.
In my opinion, the sound quality on the LinkBuds blows anything you hear on any Aftershokz.

Could you expand on specific use case? What exactly were you referring to?
Also, any warranty? The description kinda worries me as it may not be refurbished by the manufacturer.
"This item has been refurbished by the manufacturer or an approved refurbisher. The product functions like new and shows minimal if any, signs of wear. All standard accessories included. Items will be placed in non-retail packaging to better safeguard their condition. Manuals and other documentation can be found on the manufacturer's support site."

Not the same use case at all. These prioritize ambient noise not sound quality. It's for bikers and people who have hard time hearing so they can listen to music and notice what's going on in the environment.

If I rotate them down, I get much better bass. I think they sound really good. I actually wear these inside a pair of over ear headphones so I can listen to 2 different sources at the same time.
Airpods, these, etc are open-ear meaning they don't form a full seal between the outside air and inner ear air like in-ear buds or closed-over-ear headphones.
Airpods and other open ear designs still block direct passage of environmental
Sounds into the ear because some part (the plastic body) of the earbud is in the way. Sound must go around the open ear buds of other makes before entering the ears.
These Sony's have a fully open hole in the center, so environmental sounds enter without being blocked by any part of the bud.
So while closed ears are often illegal bicycling or driving in many cities, and open ears can attenuate the sound and you could still be cited and lose in court, these are fully open with no sound attenuation. No way for the courts to win even if mistakenly cited.
