They are related to age, but especially when it comes to sleepwear, sizes are ridiculously vague. A 5 to 6 y.o. will 'fit' into 5/6 most certainly (its stretchy) but will it be comfortable at all? who the heck knows. I have sleep wear for my average sized 8 year old from one brand in 10/12 that is comfortable, and then i have some thats size 4T (shorts, so leg length doesnt matter) thats comfortable. Like literally everything involving kids, its a crap shoot, you just aim for the middle and hope you end up ok. When planning for my own kids, i always buy the next size up in anything full leg / long sleeve since a lot of sleepwear seems to be made as small as possible (to save fabric? to reduce the risk of choking? who knows)

Costco always has these 50 off 10 items and 20 off of 5. I order 10 clearance x.97 items for the family. Typically, ends up being 75-80 bucks for the 10 items including tax, $8 is not bad at all, for stuff that includes shorts, swin trunks, pants, jeans etc. Just keep checking on coupon and x.97 priced items. and pull trigger when you have 10 items of interest.

The 50 off of 100 isb usually on all shoes and clothing ( underwear and socks are excluded) . each item shows if it qualifies. But there's no easy way to find clearance items only. I just sort by size I am looking for, and then sort by price low to high. to make the best of this deal you want items less than 10-15 $. Most. 97 items and coupon items show up there. Just ordered 10 men's items including shirts, shorts, swim trunks, jeans for 82$ including taxes. $8 a pop is awesome deal. total was 85 off , 50 + 35 in coupons.
