The TIV for Phone: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/clp-...37879921.c

This is in-store only and through Samsung and towards purchase of Unlocked Samsung Phones as mentioned. Trade in is still separate transaction and once they will complete the trade in, they will give you BestBuy gift card with the Value of phone being Traded in. So e.g. Flip 3 5G will get you $800. (Few have success in getting this Gift Card and walk without purchasing Phone)

Anyways, once you get the Gift Car of $800, just buy the Unlocked Phone as mentioned in the link, now that prices has gone up, buy anything. Don't Open and let them Open, it is Unlocked and you are paying Full so no need to Open.

Now, you have a New Phone of $$$ out of which you paid $800 from Gift card. Now just go and return this unopened Phone for Full Refund which will give your $$$ back with $800 in Gift Card

Now you have converted your $500 (for buying Flip 3 5G) into $800 of BB Gift Card which can be used to purchase anything at BestBuy
Hey did you confirm that this works? I'm willing to do it but just want to make sure

Yes, this method has been done many times, over many deals. But you still have to deal with the aspect of getting $800 TIV for the ZF3 (should be easy, but some stores not so much in finding the ZF3 on trade in screen). and buy the phone. . .and then hopefully for your sake go to another store to do the return. And probably going to go better if you smooth talk a reason for the return. . .all in all, it's relatively simple, but some panache in the many minutes it might take for them to grab the ZF3 as trade in on their computer might smooth things out.

This is a situation I would and have done, just not at my closest store, which has a 5+ year pro that I depend on for other deals being figured out in my favor, and don't want him to remember me as "that guy". . .

Hmm, I had an issue with trying to get the $800 TIV. Picked up the flip3 2 days ago for $500 activating on Tmobile, went in yesterday to trade it in for the $800, they said phone had to be unlocked, and tmobile requires 40 days before unlocking.
How did people get around this?

All of these BB deals depend greatly on the rep or manager doing the transactions. Some employees are clueless and stubborn, making it impossible to the deal. Some even make up their own rules. Others are adept and knowledgeable, making the deal easy as pie.

As far as T-Mobile unlocking the phone early, contact T-Force via Twitter or Messenger. Tell them you are traveling overseas and need the phone permanently unlocked ASAP. Tell them it is paid in full, and that you have a digital copy of the receipt showing this. You will also need the IMEI of the device. You will need to upload all of this to T-Force. I also typically activate the device first with the T-Mobile sim so the reps can see it active on my account. Not sure if that is required for unlocking, or even possible without opening the box. If you get shut down, try another rep on another day.

So you don't return anything ever?

If you return anything Unopened sealed in the Box, where is the issue here? They refund you in the form of Original Payment, that's it. If you return it after opening, they will charge you Stocking fee.

Yes, you may be right if spending time on this is worth or not but that is also specific to your situation. For some BestBuy store can be far but for some it is on the way to their daily routine and hence doesn't take much effort or time.

For many spending time on Slickdeals itself may not be worth it...that doesn't mean it is not
No I don't return things unless the items don't work. If your intentions are to return the item then you're wrong, you are abusing the system and you are corrupted. I've bought many things and obviously I do return sometime but only if those items didn't work for me. Pixel 6 pro was the last device I returned and I genuinely didn't like it due to b battery drain and fingerprint issues. I did pay $45 restocking fee which is fine because I've been using the device more than 30 days.

What you stated is your opinion. I respect that you feel a certain way about this issue, but the fact is that it is not abusing anything whatsoever if following store policy. There is nothing corrupt in returning an unused unopened item with a receipt, for any reason. It happens thousands of times a day, regardless of intentions. In fact, it is Best Buy policy to allow returns without a restocking fee if the item is sealed. End of story. Anything beyond that fact is you simply projecting your personal opinion and beliefs into the equation.

The new phone needs to be unlocked, not your trade in. Maybe try another store

Theres alternatives to what you have on apple

The fact android you can multi task and have video going without any commercials is something that will prevent me from ever choosing apple fully.

For example using gps in the background. with youtube and another task you will probably never be able to do with Apple without paying a hefty fee

There are pros and cons of both. Like I said, I'm an Android lover and recommend a Chromebook for most people.

However, Android app-development always falls behind Apple. You can have the same app on both platforms, but it's clear the iOS version runs smoother than the Android version. It's not surprising because developers have to accommodate for hundreds of different phones whereas there's a dozen or so for Apple.

What eventually got me off Android was when my work's email supported certain Android phones and my Essential PH-1 was not a part of the whitelist. I had to buy and carry an iPhone to access work stuff, and then keep my Android for personal. The Pixel's camera is far better than any iPhone I've ever had. However, you cannot beat Apple AirTags, period.

Like I said, pros and cons for both sides.

Still a little confused. flip the phone for 600 means order s22 series online to get 600 tiv, 800 when trade in at store? Is it possible just trade-in for gift card w/o order phone?

It's possible, but really depends on the rep that helps you. Technically the "samsung" code should only be used if you are buying an unlocked samsung phone right there. This is a in-store only deal, so you can't get $800 TIV online. If you just want to trade the phone in without the code, you get $600 GC from BB

Has this happened to anyone? Ordered online. Went through the T Mobile verification. Checked out. Did free ship to home as the nearest BB is 30 min away. Got verification order went through. Got a message couple hours later saying ordered was canceled because they couldn't activate my phone?

Do you do pickup then?

This is not worth the hassle if you are actually going to trade in unless you already have something else that you want to buy from bb. Even then its a bunch of steps to basically get an extra $50 credit.
Yes this is where this website annoys me sometimes. Trying to scam a company out of $50 is not a "slick deal". Sharing your scams are of no use to those of us who already know that time is more valuable than money. And if you're willing to spend the time to gain a measly $50, you probably need to assess your personal finances and reprioritize what you spend your money on (hint: it shouldn't be spent on most of the products promoted on this website).

Then why are you here? You're definitely looking for something super SDSmilie

I'm against abusing the system but finding good deals is not scum. If you intentionally buy this item because you want the gift card and return the item then that's abusing and it's bad. Not sure how many people are doing it but certainly it's bad. But there are other people including myself who buy the phone and never return it then that's not a problem.
