This way, it adds the battery @ $81 and the hedge trimmer @ $97. I was in the market for one and people were trying to sell used ones for $125 and new ones for $150 on FB marketplace.

In fact I kept some of my low-end ones (B&D, Worx) for lighter work because I can wave them around easily for thin trimming, and this thing feels like a heavy, serious tool. The 5AH batt is good for this; you could go even larger but then it gets heavier. I wouldn't recommend smaller.
At the time I got mine a few years ago, Game of Thrones was just finishing, and I called this the Brienne of Tarth trimmer.
Partially that. Unless you are keeping the battery &/or have a coupon/military you want to use, most rather buy pro-rated & return the 5.
Also the deal has been going for over a month, so likely it's been posted already
Yes, I ordered one yesterday for store pickup.
I have the quicklock extension hedge trimmer.. which I adore, but it's heavy and awkward, and while it does a great job, sucks to wield for long stretches. Decided I needed something lighter and easier to handle for low and light work.
Last go round.. the 18" was oos for its deal, pounced on this 24" when it popped up late thinking I got a better deal and a better unit. Well... it works fantastic.. but I swear it weighs as much as the quiklok in a tighter package. Wishing I'd grabbed the 18" in my circumstance.
Without the quiklok, I'd say go 24 for the reach.

Yeah I want the 18" hedger as well but for $100 this will do for now. The Quik lok hedger has served me well but I need something a bit more compact
