s22+ also has wifi 6e, mmwave, 35w charging, brighter display with later tech (same as iphone 13 pro). but i agree, for most people, those do not warrant $200 difference and thats why i opted for s22. now i am switching back to s22+ since $100 difference only now.

Looks like they just dropped the price of the S22 Ultra and S22+ another $100 over the previous promotion, but left the S22 at the same $500 off.

The price difference between the S22+ and S22 ($100) makes more sense now considering the only differences between the two seem to be the larger display and bigger battery. $200 was a bit much.

You should able to by contacting support and you might need to pay for the new physical sim since you can't reuse the sim.
Darn, we cant reuse physical sims? Frown

I'd rather run a physical sim once the promo period is over.
Any specific reason?

Yes. Download/install/run the Fi app on the phone to activate the SIM.

Are you able to convert a Tmo E-sim back to a physical sim? I'd rather run a physical sim once the promo period is over.
I was able to do that with Verizon. Probably same with tmobile

When active Fi service, should I use the physical sim coming with the phone or use the e-sim? Which one is better?
It says that for Pixel 4 or later, leave the physical SIM card in your phone for a better connectivity experience. Does it apply to S22 plus?
Thanks.

Thanks for the heads up. I figured it was possible and I'm sure Tmo would be the same.

Not sure if true, but I've read connection is better with a physical sim compared to Esim..but who knows.

Use Fi physical sim. If you want to run an optional carrier use Esim for that.

I don't see why it would be. I'd imagine the connection strength is more down to the phone's radios and other factors than the sim card, which is there to simply validate your access to the service. I don't think there's any difference between physical sim and eSim in terms of functionality.

It's like having physical credit cards on you versus having them stored in a digital wallet. The only difference is you can move around a physical card more easily if needed. You can take out a sim from one phone and put it in another easily, and into phones that don't have eSim capability, just as you can take out a physical credit card from your wallet and easily pay at places that don't accommodate digital wallets.

Actually it's not illogical, at least according to google fi:

https://support.google.com/fi/ans...0641?hl=en

To improve your network coverage, use your Google Fi eSIM with a physical Fi SIM card. Fi automatically switches between the 2 to provide the best coverage.

I'm sure this is before tmobile and sprint merged, but the point still kind of stands.

Nah that's something different. That has to do with facilitating faster network switching. We're talking about using physical sim OR eSim, not physical sim AND eSim from the same provider and for a specific use case.

And even then, while it's a good idea on paper, actual real world implementations are reportedly not that great. https://www.reddit.com/r/GoogleFi...r/hbdtx51/
