Correct. That's the only thing keeping me from jumping on this. I have a $200 Transitions visor on my 1200 and it's not compatible with the 1400 .

I upgraded from a 1200 to 1400 on this sale and had the same reservations. I usually ride only during the day and when I know I'm out past sunset I'll bring a clear visor in my back pack. I went with the 1400

I have a GT Air 2 but have not tried the RF1200 or 1400. GTA2 is supposed to be best for fairing / screen less / naked bikes with a clean stream of air coming straight at the helmet. Its comfortable and not too loud. There is a weird whistling when the visor is open however. The deal breaker is that rather than the d-ring there is a rachet chin strap that is an absolute trachea crusher. I would order both and keep the one you're more comfortable with.

I have this helmet and it's very nice. Very quiet and fits my big head great. I ride a naked bike with no wind screen and I'm very happy with it.

Exact same for me, plus the pinlock. Sucks because the pinlock isn't even available for the RF-1400 anywhere, so I feel that there's no point of getting it now, even though my RF-1200 is kind of old at this point. I was able to find a photochromic visor on Amazon, but I'd rather order it from Revzilla. I guess I'll wait until supply gets better.

I'd say around that dark, yeah. I've been riding with the photochromic visor on my RF-1200 for years now, and it's amazing. Still holds up well. Well worth the money IMO. I used to have a dark smoke and it was too dark at night.

I believe you do get a pin lock included in the box with this helmet

I know, that was pretty dumb of me. I could've sworn I read it before and it said that it wasn't included. But what does suck is that there are no photochromic visors available. I put my email on the Revzilla waiting list but we'll see if that ever works out. There are some on Amazon, but they're paid shipping, so eh.

I can't ride without phiotochromatic after having it for 5-6 years. hands down the bees knees
