This is a great deal until it stops working randomly after a year.

I've had the same experience with 2 of the airstrike nailers. I'll probably still bite on this for a backup because they're so dang convenient.

Looking to do redo window trims and baseboards. Which one is better? This or 18 gauge?
I have both and have used both for the same task you're embarking on and can say undoubtedly use the 16ga. I've had several 18ga nails pull out from the wall or pull through the trim. Window casings are okay to use an 18ga, however, baseboard really need more holding strength.

If you're caulking anyways, the difference of hole is minimal and will be covered up regardless.

If you're using a soft wood and nailing to drywall or shallow into wood, don't waste your time with an 18ga.

16ga can do everything a 18ga can, an 18ga cannot do everything a 16ga can. (apart from slightly smaller holes and a smaller machine)

I have absolutely nothing against directtoolsoutlet, I love them to pieces as they are the only store that'll sell reconditioned with warranty BUT i think they are either overwhelmed with orders or something is up because I placed an order on the 5th of may and i got the email saying it shipped about an hour ago, just a word of caution, buy from there but not if you're in a hurry.
Same. I bought a bunch of tools during the 40% off sale on May 6th and it just shipped yesterday. Any time before this it used to be 5-10 days before items shipped. They must be so backed up after that sale or completely wiped of inventory and had to wait until their next restock to ship orders.

Spent several years as a finished carpenter. Never nailed baseboards with a 16gauge gun. Also shooting 9/16-3/4" trim into drywall (1/2"). The math works for 2" 18ga nails. If you're having holding problems you're missing the studs and/or bottom plate. Anyone can shoot a nail gun, takes some experience to know where to hit wood.

Edit: But I agree with everything else you said.

I ordered the octane trim router a few months back during one of those flash recon promos. It came rattling around in an oversized box with no padding and was missing pieces. Sent it back for an exchange but they "couldn't find another one" even though the website showed it available for ship to home.

Truth.
I have three of these sprayers. One I use for insecticide, another for weed killer, and the last for scary away neighborhood cats.

I already had a 1.5 amp battery so I didn't buy a new battery. I'm now starting to wonder if that 1.5 amp battery will actually be enough for the 16ga nailer. Anyone have experience with it to know? I know for sure it will likely only last a short while, but I'm not so worried about that, just starting to worry maybe it won't be able to shoot the nails hard enough.

The galling part is its $14 for FedEx, which is a comically bad company. But blemished tools shipped via FedEx is the Slickdeals lifestyle, so we roll with it.
