I tried Gorilla Grip shelf liner but it smells like raw chemicals, is this any less offending?

Does this decompose after a few years? I'd rather pay more if it meant that it'd last and not melt into a mess later on.

I managed to find this product at my local Walmart. $1.08 is regular price. Appears to be "thinner" than the more expensive product that sells for a lot more.

What is the difference between the Original Grip and the Select Grip?

Thank you for your question! The Original Grip is approximately 80 mils thick and the Select Grip is approximately 85 mils thick. The Select Grip is thicker to provide a better grip on most surfaces.

The packaging does not state what the product is made of. The product does NOT have a strong chemical smell and it is definitely not the same quality as the much more expensive product. It's thinner and lighter weight and does not say "washable" on the packaging.

I do not think this product is either of the above. Packaging says, "easyliner non-slip, cushioned grip." I do not feel that it is anywhere near the quality of the more expensive products.

You could be right. I was pointing out that Original Grip (which the description claims to be) is thinner than Select Grip, which is more premium. At a minimum, it's Duck's lower quality line, which is what I was trying to say, and aligns with what you said.

However, it's also possible that Walmart took the Original Grip version and asked the manufacturer to make an even crappier exclusive version for them. They do that sometimes.
