I see people asking about taste so I figured I would comment.
Kicking Horse makes quality coffee. Its not your neighborhood roaster's finest organize small batch, but neither is it supermarket grade whatsoever. I believe they do carry this line at Target though! lol.
That said, Its good stuff, but keep in mind this seems to be their medium roast, not medium-dark or dark which many prefer for a stronger flavored espresso. Medium is, however, preferred for espresso by most expert baristas for various reasons, but I like mine medium-dark to dark!
And yes, to answer another question, you can use any whole bean coffee for drip, espresso, pour over etc. as it comes down to the grind and roasting preference. If you like a medium roast, simply grind this coffee according to your preferred method.

Anyone that can compare this to Lavazza Super Crema for taste. Have a Jura super auto that I use for espresso/latte and this is a great price (but only if the taste is good).

As someone who never missed a Lavazza coffee bean deal, prefer this one over Lavazza. it's more aromatic, I have been waiting for this deal since I tried it from previous deal on SD. 😄 the very least I think you won't disappoint if you like Lavazza (which is mostly what I drink).

I use a Jura micro automaticmachine, if that matter.

I usually use Lavaza in my superautomatic, but I've had 2 different medium roast flavors from Kicking Horse and it's incredible. Ince my current 2lb bag of Lavaza is gone I'll be switching my subscribe andsave to Kicking Horse. It's comperable in price on Amazon.

I thought all light and medium roast beans were fine for superautomatics? I have a LateGo 32oo and have put 2 lbs of Kicking Horse medium roast through it with no problems.

Haha alright. I like espresso but I dont have the infrastructure to have it regularly. For normal coffee I have a percolator.
why not try a moka pot? assuming you're using a standard stovetop percolator, the moka pot is functionally the same but will give you results that are closer to espresso.

gosh, i'm just now realizing that i haven't even seen a percolator in almost 20 years and even then it was old fashioned!

I am not an expert, but my typical beans are Costco/Kirkland Sumatran. Those are much "shinier" than these beans so I don't think this blend is overly oily.

When I got one bag of this from Amazon a few months ago, the expiration date was just days away. Dunno if I'd feel comfortable buying 12 pounds of this. But Amazon did refund my money.
