I am an existing customer with active trading account and just signed up for investing account with the promo and received the following email.

Thanks for registering for the $100 cash reward.
As a reminder, you have up to 15 calendar days to deposit $50 or more to qualify.
You'll receive the $100 within 25 days after you fund a new eligible account.
how is it BS? it's their terms, and it literally says "Fund the account with a minimum of $50 ("Net Deposit") from an external, non-Fidelity source.". reading is fundamental

So will the money in my account fluctuate? Confused about this part:
Note: you must keep the $100 cash reward (minus any losses related to trading or market volatility, or margin debit balances) in the eligible account for a minimum of 90 calendar days starting from when you receive the reward
It is tied to the market then? I have to make some investment choice with the money deposited if I do this? Can't just leave it alone as a balance on the account to get the bonus cash?
If you invest in a money market fund, you could lose money. I don't believe the cash management account is tied to the market, and I don't believe you can buy stocks here.

I have a cash account, individual and go. You can purchase stocks by selecting the cash account while initiating a trade. You can also transfer stocks to this account.
I have multiple fidelity accounts already and tried to use this deal. I didn't see were to put the promo code in when I was going through. I funded the $50 with a bank account within a day of opening a new cash account.
I called Fidelity since I didn't get an email confirmation (normally the send one) as it's been about 10 days. The rep said everything looks to be in order but i need to wait 25 days to see if it appear. if it doesn't THEN give them a call.
I didn't look through 9 pages of comments to see if someone's already mentioned, but posting this in case it helps at least one person. I got burned by a previous promotion because of this technicality:

The code was pre-populated for me when I clicked the link from the OP

Really?
I think you're right. It seems to work but of course I didn't execute the trade. My question now goes what the diff between the account types? cash vs. investing.

Next time look through the 9 pages first. We dont want duplicate posts.
Signed up and deposited the required amount and still getting reminders on the app that time is running out on the promo. Gave Fidelity a call and they said this promo expired on May 22nd. The promo still shows up on their site, maybe the rep was mistaken?
