Really nice cooler for the price. I grabbed one and it's kept ice for 4 days in 90+ degree heat.

They also have this one for the same price if you can find it instore for pickup., It's larger than the first one but no wheels.

The reviews on this are very weird. All the positive reviews are incentivized reviews. The non-incentivized reviews are all universally negative, and complain about the drain spout leaking. This is true for both cooler models you link. Have you had any issues with the drains?

I haven't commented before but I just picked this up at my local Walmart Saturday for a road trip on Memorial day so I thought I would give my experience. It is a great cooler and keeps things cold for several days, but if ice melts at all it is going to leak out. I had about 2 cups of water in my vehicle after the first day. I have weathertech mats in that vehicle so it was no big deal, but I am on the fence as to whether or not to take it back or try and find/make an o-ring for the drain plug.

Would it be possible to stick something into the drain plug from the inside?

But really is that something you should have to do for something you just paid $100+ new lol?

I could understand for something used or hand me down.

That said... you could probably use a wine cork depending on the drain size.

shocking... a bunch of non incentivized reviews here in the comments also state that it leaks.

yet, the Original poster states that it doesnt leak.

could... could it be possible... that a dealposter on slickdeals is incentivized?! lol.

It's possible, sure--I thought I'd ask because usually, people on SD are pretty helpful. I don't know that the OP is incentivized, but certainly it appears their experience is not the norm.

Fyi this entire lineup of igloo coolers seem to have the same major hinge design flaw. Unless you are careful about not opening the lid to far the short/small screws will strip out from the weak plastic. And then the cooler is junk. They should have used molded/pin hinge setup like most quality coolers. I could live with finding a drain seal but not going to deal with a broken lid when the manufacturer doesn't seem to care about warranty claims.

hardware stores sell rubber "corks" pretty cheap or good old fashioned real corks from old school hardware store. depot might have them as well.
