I'm with you, I would rather buy these cheap refurbs than a new model. I bought 6 Apple watches on eBay this month. Two Hermes, a pair of Series 4, a Series 6 and this Series 5. The Series 7 doesn't speak to me, I just have no interest in one. People do not realize how easy the aluminum models get dinged up and get scratches on the crystal. Knowing what I know now I would recommend people buy the Stainless model refurbs on eBay because of the sapphire crystals. The stainless models I have received are in much better condition than the Aluminum models. You can pick up a Stainless refurb on eBay for $159. Thats where the smart money is in my opinion.

Not holding a charge is the number one complaint of renewed refurbished buyers of Apple watches.
