Almost the same deal as 3 pk for $8.99 which was a popular deal. Actually 3 pk deal is still on in limited stock. Check your availability.

I have several of these that I refill from my 25lb tanks. You just need a special adapter (I got for $10 from Amazon) that connect the larger tank to the small tank. You fill the small tank by turning the large tank upside-down and open the valve. It fills up about 80% full. Years ago I estimated that it costed me $1 to fill each Coleman. Not sure the cost now with the fuel costs in the rise.

Note: the colder the tank is, the more the smaller tank will fill. If you refill the small tank in the middle of winter, you can get it 90% full.
lol, these are definitely not empty. Although it can be refilled, they're considered single use items.

Plus one on not empty, i.e. this is full of 1lb of propane in a "non-reusable" tank.

Just curious, but I see people refill these all the time. Are those different kind of bottle? How can you tell.

Yes it is ILLEGAL to refill these. There is a company that makes a legally refillable one if interested https://littlekamper.com/

Yeah, I've read that it's best to chill these in the fridge or freezer for a while prior to refilling for best results.

For those asking about refilling, yes, you can do it with an adapter (pretty cheap on Amazon) BUT it violates the safety rating with the biggest issue typically being the durability of the pressure relief valve since they're designed for single use.

People do it anyway, of course. Choosing a refill adapter with auto-shutoff reduces pressure buildup, also reducing stress on the valve so it can last longer.

So if you're doing it anyway, get the better adapter Smilie

I'd love to not just buy single-use containers headed for the landfill. Is it safe to refill? Any links to adapters that are good?

Lowest I've seen since at least two years ago. Walmart sold or sells a four pack for about $13.97. Four at $12 sounds good to me!

An article with a bit more info is below. Personally, I'd say any adapter is fine, as you won't be getting anywhere near the pressures affecting the emergency relief valves, assuming you're refilling from a standard 20 lb tank. It seems to be a common issue that many people won't get it anywhere near the original fill level, even with chilling. Some choose to manually vent the small tank relief valve during filling to get a more complete fill, although that obviously goes a step further into the "unsafe" category.

I use this adapter:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1

I found that putting the small tank in the freezer before you fill it made it fill better. If you have a kitchen scale weigh a new full tank so you know how much a full tank should weigh. That way you don't overfill. If you put in too much just let some out.
