Depends, if you wait for the sale to go off and don't mind sitting on it for a bit, I'd imagine you could get close to $200 out of the saw. Probably move it quick for $100-$150 with the sale still on. I have no problem sitting on it to get as much as possible.

There is a sliding scale when it comes to miter saws (no pun intended). A slider will increase the width of your cross cuts and can reduce "chip out". So if that is important to you, then you may want to hold out for a deal on a slider. There are also double bevel fixed saws and double bevel slider saws. The price goes up exponentially; the more versatile and the more features you add on the saw, the more dough you have to shell out. Just depends on what you intend to use it for. You can still find great deals on the more versatile and feature rich Dewalt saws, but this deal is a great price on a perfectly capable saw for the average Joe or Mary.

BTW: for those of you who picked this up in-store - how big are the boxes for these? I think I read that the box the stand comes in is like 6-7' long? What about the miter saw? I have mine set for pickup on the way back from vacationing in another town so we'll have the trunk of our SUV partially filled with stuff. Hopefully there will be enough room to fit the saw. I will probably strap the stand to the roof crossbars.

Ordered set with the stand and it was ready for pickup within 10 minutes. Love it, just bought a 12-in Ryobi (dual bevel and sliding though) for $299 last weekend. Pretty sure I won't need the sliding feature for something larger than 2x12. Thanks OP and repped!
