ARM processor, which means you're going to be very limited in terms of what Windows apps you'll be able to use well on this thing. Not a bad price for what it is though; probably a pretty viable web browsing/Word doc editing machine.

Paid membership vs Trial Membership is becoming more of a thing it seems. I guess it was only a matter of time.

Yes. The main drawback of TN panel is the terrible viewing angles followed by washed out colors.
But a buyer looking for machines at this price range won't really mind the panel being a TN, that's the thing.

I dont think anyone expects miracles with this device, but I think a lot of people here would want an explanation of why this machine might still disappoint even at this price and with low expectations. Tiny battery, bad viewing angles, probably unusable outside (220nit/glossy), slow as all get out, many apps in windows not ported to run on a mobile processor (ARM).

Well, personally I wouldn't take this even for free because the experience would be terrible. The specs could make a reasonable Chromebook despite the screen, but since it uses Windows on ARM, with all the limitation along with the low specs, it's going to be difficult to use. In fact that is exactly what you'll find if you look at the reviews

11 hrs on battery isnt tiny.

why do you need better viewing angles on your personal laptop?

which "many apps" that cant be used on this laptop. do you have a list of them? we just want to know if they are among some important apps that we cant live without.

Honestly, you type the app you are wondering about and windows ARM app compatibility in google. I wasnt saying this is a bad machine just simply stating some of the downsides. Just understand its a mobile device running a PC OS. Nothing about it will feel fast. I admit the small battery should not be an issue on this device, because the arm processor is so efficient. I didnt mean to mislead.

google said microsoft said:

"Windows 11 adds the ability to run unmodified x64 Windows apps on Arm devices! This ability to run x86 & x64 apps on Arm devices gives end-users confidence that the majority of their existing apps & tools will run well even on new Arm-powered devices.May 25, 2022"

basically they can run all apps. if they cant run natively. the apps will run on its emulator.
