Esp if you're a fan of Samsung and are already part of their ecosystem, this laptop would synchronize nicely with your phone/devices.
This is a really good device for your kids too, sensitizing them towards laptops, using them and typing on them.
Also, someone up there calling the battery tiny has no idea about this laptop or this chip and just saw the numbers of its rating. ARM processors are especially designed for efficiency, and this laptop easily lasts for 10 hours at least and for 14 hours if you milk it as reported by many reviewers.
No one would get this laptop (or even look for it) to game, to run 20+ tabs of chrome, or create extensive spreadsheets. It's an ARM processor, yes, and would run almost all the apps which have, more or less, been customized for this chip. All apps which you want for your general productivity because, again, that's what this laptop is for.
Not trying to shove this deal down anyone's throat but need to make them realize who this is geared towards.

"Windows 11 adds the ability to run unmodified x64 Windows apps on Arm devices! This ability to run x86 & x64 apps on Arm devices gives end-users confidence that the majority of their existing apps & tools will run well even on new Arm-powered devices.May 25, 2022"
basically they can run all apps. if they cant run natively. the apps will run on its emulator.

I've used a 768p TN panel on an 8 years old HP Pavilion for a good ol' 3-4 years before moving on to a 1600p IPS Display, and hence know what a TN panel looks like. Not denying the terrible viewing angles but other than that there was nothing wrong with that panel. The colors despite looking washed out were accurate enough to enjoy media. That was a 780p panel and this is a 1080p TN panel we're talking about which is perfectly appropriate for the niche this laptop targets.
You can even watch YouTube reviews of this device and even in those videos Samsung Go's screen didn't appear like "lenticular/holographic pictures you had as a kid but actually worse".
Not saying it's as good as IPS and yes it's bad, but it's not as bad as you're wording it out to be.
Kindly go watch those videos first and then we can discuss this matter further, instead of threadcrapping and misleading people.

"The screen, notably, reaches a commendable 1080p resolution, but is utterly terrible in every other way."

Color me surprised. Going to bet the YouTube reviews says it's pretty terrible too. If you feel good about recommending a bad product to people then by all means, feel free too. I made my case.
And no it's not about having a wide viewing angle, it's about this feeling like it has no viewing angle at all. No matter how you stare at a TN display, the colors are so crappy it'll feel like you're always off angle.
How the display performs for you is something you'd notice there first time you boot this up anyway, so if it's an issue you'll definitely identify it within the return window. So, why not take a call on this yourself? Worst case, you hate the screen or performance so much, you send it back for a refund.
Personally, if i were looking for a Chromebook which usually has a 720p screen in this price range, I'd consider this as a small upgrade - looks like its more flexible compared to that and an easy switch for an existing windows user.
