Why thumbs down and no comment. I'll just give a thumbs up to erase that negative Nancy.

There is a similar tablet the Lenovo Chromebook 10e. They can be had as low as $80 refurbished from Micro Center.

This is a FireHD10 tablet replacement.

The best tablet deal in the near past was getting a HP X2 11 for $150.00 or $200.

You can also find in the near past... a Lenovo Duet 5 open box for about $285ish.

Good deal, but be aware that a new version of this Chromebook was just released--Best Buy is likely clearing out excess inventory before they start stocking the 2022 model.

For those interested, Chrome Unboxed has a good overview of the new version here [youtube.com].

This is a great deal but I have one for the last year or so. It has been working great for my 9 y.o. to play and zoom with friends. It is not fast but fast enough for YouTube, Zoom, & Discord. I might want to buy the faster version for myself but I also have enough tech that I am not in a hurry.

Price wrong in title might be cause of downvotes- have it backwards. Shows as was $189 and is now $299.

This can't be right. The tablet is 2.years old. Still good, but there is a newer Duet 3 and 5. Duet 3 is almost this price. We have 2 duet. Got it refurb from a Lenovo reseller last year for $140. Works and looks like new.

It is still a decent hardware even thought its 2 years old. Some chromebooks that are being sold today have lower specs than this.

In the app the price appears wrong. For $189 I think it's not a bad deal. I got it for $220 last September, pretty happy with it. Nice screen, great battery life, reasonable performance (not fast, but with the right expectations it's fine).

It will get updates through June 2028, for anyone wondering.

I've never seen an HP X2 for $150 or $200 -- can you point to those deals? No doubt it is a nicer system, although I think the Snapdragon 7c 1 had performance issues with Android apps at first (not sure if it has been improved).

chromeunboxed has a review of the new video of the Duet 3. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IU7zlL6yOaQ BestBuy is probably trying to clear it out to make room for the new devices.

The HP X2 11 sold yesterday for $240 for refurbished on ebay. I would wait for this deal to come again.

And Lenovo 10 refurbished (MT8183 CPU - 82% as fast and has a 3.5mm jack and only has 32GB hard drive) can be had for $80.00 at Micro Center. And 32GB is enough.

Thanks for sharing, but those really aren't comparable. $240 is a lot more than the $150 you said. And it's refurbed vs new with normal warranty (and BB return policy). That said, the HP X2 is nice if you're willing to pay a bit more and can find another deal.

The Lenovo I'm guessing doesn't have a keyboard or cover for that price, 32 GB really isn't enough once you start using it for Android apps, and not everyone has a Microcenter nearby. Up to you if that's worth the price difference.

The problem is that the 8GB of Ram and 128 GB storage version is unknown if it'll come out. Obviously, the 2022 version is better than the 2021 version. The 2022 version was on sale recently for about $260 if I am not mistaken, but that's with 4gb/64gb. So the only difference would be the screen quality, keyboard, and CPU (which are all solid, and are worth $100 more IMO, but not if you want to replace the 2021 version).

I got this when it was on sale at Walmart for $99 which I really like it at that price point. I don't use it that often, but it's served as a work computer (web app) when I was on the road. For single app use, it was more than fine. It felt snappy enough to never make me think about performance. My only beefs were really with the design choices. There wasn't any place to store the pen that came with it. Also the stand was held on by a magnet and added significant weight to it. I'd prefer a kickstand built into the back and they could have streamlined the overall product. The entire back would slide when you tried to adjust the kick-stand. It was a minor thing, but it just felt like a clumsy design that could be better.

I see that the newer version has a pen holder at least, but the stand looks about the same.

I have a duet. It might be the original one as it's been about 2 years now. I was impressed by it and it has an amazing battery life. I would say the one I have was better for surfing there Internet and watching videos than it was for playing games though.
Yes, there is a newer one that's coming out and yes people have been able to find this and similar tablets for "steals", but that does not mean you should avoid this. I personally think my Duet from 2 years ago is still worth what I paid which I think was 229
