I own it. It runs great. Sometimes it does crash and it doesn't auto save. So save often. But it's one of the best games for my switch. Made my own base underwater and decked it out. For 20$ I highly recommend it

This game is a great fit on the Switch. The graphics aren't exactly as sharp or detailed as other counsels, but it runs just fine. For $20, this is a steal.

If you have the means, the best way to experience this game is through VR. Just wish they added support for the motion controls and not just a controller. I haven't checked in a long while. Maybe they have. Definitely a great survival horror.

I got it on switch last time it was at this price and it runs really well. Haven't had a single problem.

(Edit) and I beat the whole game so I had a pretty good sample size.

I'm sure it runs ok, but they're such beautiful atmospheric games, you owe yourself to play it on a fast device. The first one is one of my all time favorite games, truly unique. Second one looks better but not quite as special.

I'm still playing the original on PS4 and to be honest it gets a little tedious swimming back and forth over and over again to fetch all these materials just to eat, drink, etc. And I'm used to playing open world games with fetch quests too. But it feels like there are just too many, and most are concerned with basic ongoing survival rather than moving the story forward. Am I missing something here?

Maybe. You might not be far along enough. You could get to a point where eating and drinking becomes fairly moot and easy.
