I bought this exact model when I was in college in 2016, and have used it weekly since then. Only in the past couple months have I thought about replacing it because the nonstick coating on the pan is wearing off and Hamilton Beach is out of stock of the replacement pans. Has been a wonderful and reliable bread maker for me and my wife for 6 years.
There's an Italian parmesan loaf that comes in the manual with this machine that I like, but I usually make a honey wheat recipe my grandparents passed on to me that they used to make weekly. I've uploaded both here: https://imgur.com/a/e5yMirL
Was/is rated a best bread maker by CReports for the price.
FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND, new bread makers in the near future will be energy saving and will take hours to make bread.---then not come out as good., Likely not last as long too.- And cost more. ----think what happen to washing machines.

Used this machine for a year, sooo much better than making bread by hand. The main reason is that it eliminated variables. The biggest is the constant warm temp this machine provides for rising. Another is the enclosure ensures a humid environment so the bread doesn't dry out while rising. And of course more consistent cooking, less mess, and work. That said the Cuisinart CBK-200 is definitely better, especially if you bake whole wheat as it is actually programmed with a specific cycle for whole wheat.

I have this bread maker that I purchased for this price like 9 years or so ago which I have been using to make bread pretty much weekly. I love it and am considering buying one more just in case as most recently my bread maker fell down from the countertop breaking the outer plastic shell....the bread maker still works but not sure for how much longer. This particular model has one minor flaw that it can walk away from the countertop in some rare cases.
We use it for making bread, dough for pizza, naan and Indian Roti. It does a great job at pretty much everything with an option to schedule to run at a certain time which allows me to wake up to a fresh loaf of bread every time.

I've used it for years. Mostly to knead dough but in the summertime I do the entire loaf in the breadmaker. It walked itself off the counter after I first got it when the dough was too thick, but survived & continues to work.

I've had it for years, I used to make all my bread with it, never a problem. Every now and then I make a banana bread and it comes out great. I believe I paid around this price and I haven't regretted it.

That's great to know. How do you make Indian Roti with it? Does it come thin enough or only Naan types?
Thanks for sharing. Ordered 1.
What is the turn around time for a loaf of bread?

Any recipe for indian chapati/roti dough?
Any recipe for naan dough?

I just use it to make the dough; as this machine has a paddle inside which does the kneading for you.... you still have to roll it, cook it on a fry pan etc....all that good stuff.

Any recipe for naan dough?
What is the turn around time for a loaf of bread? - 3 hours/ Option 1 - Basic
Any recipe for whole wheat bread? - I use 1.5 cups All purpose flour + 1.5 cups whole wheat flour + 1 Egg + 1 Cup of warm milk + 2 TBSP sugar + 1/2 TSP Salt + 2 TSP Yeast + 2 TSP Oil + 2 TSP Butter. The combo flour makes the bread more airy
Any recipe for indian chapati/roti dough? 1 cup whole wheat flour + 3/4 cup water + 2 TSP oil + 1/2 TSP Salt + 1 TSP Sugar. Makes 8 medium size rotis. If the dough is too sticky, add little bit more flour
Any recipe for naan dough? I use 1 cup All purpose flour + 1 TBSP sugar + 1/2 TSP Salt + 1 TSP Yeast + 1 TSP Oil + 1/2 CUP of Water
Select the Dough cycle for any kind dough making on the bread maker.
I typically prefer 60% hydration; which means for each cup of flour, I add 1/2 CUP + 2TBSP water or milk.
