I love my Tineco PwrHero 11 found on Slickdeals late last year. I use it every day (for past ~7 months) and its awesome. I also have an older dyson handheld and the Tineco is better in almost all ways (all the important ones).
I dont know how the PWRhero compares with this Spartan, but I wouldnt hesitate on the brand itself.

I'm surprised Tineco is still in business: apparently there are enough clueless people who buy their vacuums. Total trash. The sooner they're dead, the better.
Consumer Reports, a nonprofit organization that accepts no advertising dollars and does extensive testing, gives the Tineco Pure One S11 Tango its highest rating for cordless stick vacuums.

My Tineco Pure One S11 Tango is the best vacuum I've ever owned by no small margin. I actually find myself looking for reasons to vacuum because it's so enjoyable, whereas before I couldn't stand lugging around my Kenmore canister vacuum.

The soft roller brush that comes with the Tango version and can be ordered separately for this version is an absolute must if you have hard floors.

I still love my Tineco A11Master. This person has no idea what they're talking about. I don't feel clueless. Still going strong after 4 years.

My neighbor had the misfortune to buy exactly this model at Walmart on clearance for $50 (I believe, maybe slightly more/less) a few weeks ago. Last Saturday asks for help as it won't charge. Battery dead after maybe 10 uses and one month of use. Had the pleasure to handle it. Bigger/heavier than my 10-year old Dyson.

Once Dyson's patents expired, all kind of cheap trash started appearing in stores.
One experience should not be a blanket statement of how bad a brand is. It is unfortunately for sure, but it wasn't even your vacuum or experience. Dyson bias?

I bought the Pwrhero 11 last BF. I am very happy with it. Great suction. Excellent filtration. I use it on carpet, hard floors and spiders. Poor little spiders Frown

Also got the PWRHERO 11 last BF (for $75 at a WM that didn't want to carry them so marked off!). Performs way better than I would expect at this price range, have not run out of battery off full charge for cleaning yet (usually get 2-4 cleanings before I need to charge). Only downside is washing the pre-filter when it gets clogged, I ended up buying extra so I could rotate one drying while using another.

Suggest your neighbor contact Tineco, seems like they are fairly proactive with customer service. They may offer discount or free battery for a review or social media post, or simply help.

Tineco vacuums have topped many trusted charts, like the Vacuum Wars YouTube channel.
I have the A11 Master and gifted my mother both the Pure ONE S12 and the PWRHERO 11.
The Master is pretty darn good, the ONE series is phenomenal, and the PWRHERO is pretty basic, but none of them are bad.

I have the A10 Dash and love it. Been using it every other day since September to clean up cat litter And fur . My Dyson canister is getting a break, and so am I, as it is so much easier using the Tineco.
I bought the little adapter to clean the filter's and several spare filters. I then use the Dyson and hold the adapter on the hose to clean the filters. They come out looking like new.
If my built in battery dies, I'd buy one of these with removable battery next.

I have never had my Dash run out of battery on me.

Oh, the light on the powered brush roller head is amazing. It highlights little fur balls and litter to see where I need to vacuum.

Same here. 3 years+ on the same pair of batteries and Hepa that came with it. Pretty much ONLY use it for my whole 2300sf house, including about 50% wood floors. Simple regular maintenance and cleaning out the filters regularly (which Tineco makes stupid simple with their filter cleaning mechanism).
