This is a kids bike.

Adults on kids bike are going to find it uncomfortable to pedal. And pedal you must, because this is pedal assist, not just a throttle.

While some companies do make legit adult bikes with 20" wheels, they design the frames, seats, bars with larger people in mind - which is not the case with this Kent.

148 dollar electric bike?

I'm guessing it blows up after 4 uses.

Kiddie bike. I wish it was an adult bike. Would have definitely gotten at this price.

As a bigass adult, what's the weight limit on these things?

As an aside I can't wait to get one of these things in the future when the tech matches my price point. Will they go the way of the 'hoverboards', I know not.

If you mean will they be a passing fad, I'd say zero chance. Unlike with hoverboards, practically everyone who buys a quality ebike loves it. I hemmed and hawed for a long time about spending over $2k on a bike, but the second I did I wished I'd done so sooner.

Unfortunately I don't think you'll be seeing good ebikes get much cheaper for quite a few more years. I do think you'll start to see a bigger selection of crappy cheap ones, but I doubt those will ever be "worth it", and I really hope they don't get too widespread lest they sour peoples views on ebikes before they ever get a chance to ride a good one.

ebikes are the future

electric bikes, cars, boats, UTVs, ATVs, basically any form of short range transportation can benefit.

Blah blah blah… what happened to the days when people used bikes to exercise
Ebikes provide as much or as little exercise as you want. You just get to cover way more ground while getting your exercise.

Following your logic, I suppose everyone should be riding the biggest, heaviest steel anchor of a bike they can find, because the harder it is to ride the more exercise you get, right?
