I've been using Ozark trail tents for years. I abuse the hell out of them, and they usually come back for more. Bought a Coleman last year bc it was on sale, and a pole broke on the 2nd time I used it. I've owned many tents over the years, the one Coleman I own(ed) is the worst of them. Not saying all Coleman tents are bad, but it's certainly not a mark of quality above Ozark Trail. Ozark Trail is at least as good quality IMO, and reviewers seem to agree. The only problem with Ozark Trail is it publicly brands you as a Walmart shopper... LMAO

I have an older version of this. Very worth $80. If you haven't tried it, the dark rest and the "instant" are great. Ozark trail has much improved their quality although any instant tent will tend be less rugged than a tent with old school heavy sectioned poles.

What exactly is this missing that you don't believe it is a cabin style tent? Maybe you could articulate what the problem is for the rest of us? I think the average camper looking for a 6 person car camping cabin style tent would be blown away by this.

As good as any midrange tent. Properly set up and pitched, will get you through some pretty heavy stuff, just make sure to secure those guy lines. They aren't just for heavy wind, but to give the tent walls and roof enough tension where the water rolls off easily instead of pooling. Keep things from touching the walls too, as many "leaks" are actually just condensation on the inside of the tent. As long as nothing is touching it will typically stay on the walls until it evaporates once the sun comes up and dries it out.

This is actually a smoking hot deal on a 6 person instant tent, let alone a dark rest version. I would snag this immediately if I was looking for a 6 person car camping tent.

Thanks, going to bite. Was just camping this last weekend with the Mrs. in my older 2-person backpacking tent. We concluded some extra space would be nice.

Looks like this does not include any kind of ground cover, nor does it have a waterproof bottom and I'll need a tarp for it.

These are great. I have two. One dark rest one regular rest. Comfortably fit two adults in one and three kids in the other. Could get one more in each and still fit with gear.

They stuff well and really are just a minute for one person to unroll and pop up.
