I got the Genius versions from Costco or Sam's sometime back. Great units. My concern on the io versions besides possible overkill regarding what one needs to brush teeth, is the base of the brush heads are different. Don't need to look for yet another type harder to find in the stores/online or pricier. That said, at $150, would buy this 2 pack if I were in the market now.

I added it to cart for morning pickup, but the price is still showing $299. Is it only for certain areas?

Edit: I changed it to a store further away than my preferred store, and the price changed to $149.91.

Thanks sharing your positive experience with an oral B unit. I don't need a lot of bells & whistles...the main thing that had me still considering the iO over the Genius or even something like the Pro-1500 was that Consumer Reports said the iO is quieter. My wife and I work different shifts (I'm going to bed in about an hour and she'll be getting out of bed about an hour later) and are always brushing while the other is sleeping so quiet is key. I'll give the fancy bluetooth stuff a try but probably will end up not using it. At this price however, and given that I was able to convince myself that I'm in the market for 2 (wife's sonicare is on its last legs, probably), this was a no-brainer.

Possibly regional? Where are you located if you don't mind me asking? I checked a number of locations around the southeast, and all are showing 149.41 for store pickup. Consider trying other locations in your area if you have several in range.

I am thinking this is probably a price mistake. It was showing as 149.41 for shipping earlier, but I couldn't find our Sam's Club member info (hadn't used online before) and had to wait a couple hours while I tried to get a hold of my wife. When I went back to make the purchase it was 299.98 for shipping -- but when I tried pickup the price in cart dropped back down to 149.91. Don't recall how I figured this out. I am scheduled for pickup Thursday, hoping my order doesn't get canceled, but I suppose that may be a possibility.

Be prepared to be annoyed with finding heads for these. Sam's, walmart, target, and most local stores for me never have these in stock. Really annoying when a head breaks and you cant pick up one in store.

I have had this toothbrush for a bit over a year, and it's fantastic. Is it an indulgence? Yes. But it really is high quality and there's something about your toothbrush smiling at you every day that makes it that much more enjoyable.
