Guys, if you do not see anything, my suggestion is to call T-Mobile and ask if you are eligible for offer P038.

I ordered with a rep over the phone. Was charged $35 upgrade support charge plus tax. The EIP says the phone is $399.99. I'm guessing $30 of the $430 trade value was applied to the purchase. Logging on to my account, the promo is already attached, which is a big improvement from before where your promo doesn't show up until they receive and process your trade. I remember couple of times before I had to jump through hoops over a couple of months to get the promo applied when I did mail in trade.
Did you have an iPhone 5 or older on the plan?

i have a stack of older phones - a 5s and 3.... they are from an old ATT plan - I understand the 5s may not work.

trying to figure out - are other people moving their SIM cards into these phones in order to qualify for the SE trade in..... dont have to get a new line, and can then swap the SIM back into their 11 once the trade is done?

can you do it for several phones with the same lines by swapping cards?

also have a 6 and 6 plus that are just sitting..... :\

looking closer, i think there are two different promos people are looking at - and the one is only active if you currently have a 3g phone on the service?

the "on us" promo is what you are looking for. the 400$ off iphone SE does show 400 off with a premium phone trade in, but only 100 off an old model trade in.

I see that you have to add a line and be on a Magenta plan. If that is what is required then a no-go for me.

Read page 1, people have done it on existing line of SC plan.

i have eip (for iphones 12s and 13s) on all lines. how believable is it, to the system, for me to replace an active line with an ancient flip phone (after paying off the eip early of course)?

That's luck, I talked to 3 reps and they said the older iPhones are only 100$ off. The get up to 400 off is a trade in on newer devices.

It definitely was luck, and not just in getting the deal. I was calling tmo about my bill, and happened to be browsing the forum while on hold. Seeing this thread, I asked the rep about it. I didn't mention the specific promo code, just asked about the 3G cut off in general.

Yes I actually do have a line that's still rocking a 5s LMAO

They are giving this UMTS offer to all the lines so far I'm getting it on lines that arent even specifically indicated for umts just do it online dont talk to reps don't ask questions, take screenshots of the $430 offer and plow through while it lasts! methinks its an error on some accounts! No need to have a preexisting 3g iphone either if the offer displays on screen just run with it, there were some time it timed out but restarting in incognito mode worked.

Granted it is still an overpriced iphone but good to get rid of 3g devices and better then the other umts offers.
As suspected it was a mistake, I am no longer seeing the UMTS offer on the 3rd gen iPSE.

I would assume phone screen should be in good condition? My 4S has cracks on screen. Will I be able to trade-in?

Depends on store rep, since these phones obviously aren't going to be reused they may just take it, if not buy something off eBay, officiallly they don't accept them, scratches are ok .

I already gave them my trade in last night at the store, but I still don't see any mention of this promotion on my account. Seeing how you and user slickfatty has the promotion applied already, should I be worried?

Has anybody started a new EIP on a line without paying off the earlier one ?
My account is already at $0 per month due to all the credits on the line.

No, just keeps tabs on it. As long as you have the screenshots to show if something goes awry, you can also call and ask them if the promo is applied properly, they will likely give you the 2 bill cycled spiel.
