Yes. I did buy 13 mini with my iPhone 5c. Iphone 5s should be fine.
I bought it through the live chat in TMobile website. They waived the service charge too.
Thank you. I want to trade in the 5s and get maybe a 13 mini or 13 pro……..

Does any of you already see the monthly credit under EIP? Everyone is waiting for 1-2 cycles?
I don't have this promo, but all my previous promos did take 2 cycles for the monthly credit to show up. The EIP shows up almost immediately. So after 2 cycles, you get the bulk of the "missed" credits... so essentially 3 cycles' worth of credits. At least that has been my experience.

It's tempting but I don't want to give up my trusty iPhone 3GS. Does anyone know if they will still take it with a chip on the rear housing?
the condition of the trade in reads the below on their website:
QUOTE
to be considered acceptable, the screen must be free of any cracks. the display must also be readable and not distorted or pixilated.
scratches and scuffs are considered a normal part of use and are acceptable.
UNQUOTE

so based on the above, the "screen must be free of any cracks", it doesn't mention about the back, so i would assume it's ok. i did this deal a few days ago and traded in my 3GS, which had a 3/4 inch long crack on the back near the charging port, it was done in store, and the rep accepted the trade in.

But again, at this point, nothing is guaranteed... swapping in a sim into an old iPhone seems to work for some and not for others in terms of receiving the $429 credit. I for one am taking a gamble and bought a used 5c that is locked to T-mo and swapping in a sim from my backup line. My logic is that since the phone was ONCE used on T-mo's system, I might have an easier time getting the promo approved. I'll let you all know here if I'm successful. BTW, I'm on Simple Choice.
For me, my my.t-mobile.com still shows that I am eligible for upgrade (iPhone SE included). This was how I got the N200 in the first place. All done online. I guess you were not offered the 3G-shutdown upgrade before? From my menu, it seems I can still trade in any good condition iPhone and I can get $430 credit toward iPhone SE. I don't know what will happen to my existing EIP.

I am not an iPhone person. Had I not taken the N200, I calculated it will cost me $70+ to get the 3rd gen SE. But buying a used iPhone off eBay just to trade seems a lot of work for me.

you can have 2 EIPs on each line. if you paid off first EIP and you will continue to receive monthly credit.

I can have 2 EIP in parallel? That's really nice to hear. In that case, why would I pay off the first EIP when I can just having the EIP pay itself off over 24 months?

Metro iPhone SE port in deal is better than this t-Mo bill credit nonsense. Compare total cost. Port in for the $149. price plus a $40. plan. Unlocks after 6 months. No credit pull or agreement.

you still need service after 6 months right? most of us here got free lines on T-Mobile or $10 to $20 for additional line. There's no credit pull for existing customers.

I called a Corp Store for Metro, yesterday, and spoke to an Assist. Mgr, asking about the iPhone SE 2nd and 3rd versions. He said, and I asked him to double check, porting in a number gets the SE 2nd edition for free and SE 3rd for $79.99 + first month (probably $60 plan). I asked was this and 'In-Store' offer since the website says $99.99 (64 GB) + first month for the SE 3rd? He answered: Yes.

To be honest, don't know exactly what to believe. I have been to that store in the past and not had surprise add-ons like at some of the Authorized Dealer locations, so I have a tendency to trust them, but not going yet.

Just food for thought.

it's a targeted offer.

Called the rep, and was told that 3 of my lines are eligible.

I don't know how they figure it out. Only one of those eligible 3 lines is using a 3G phone.

I have 9 lines and not one is eligible according to T-Force. I even have iPhone 4 active on one line.
I need to find a rep to override the system. LOL

I've had great results from corporate stores where they waived any activation fees, and no or little taxes (vs dealers) and even got them to toss in a case. One can negoiate as they don't want a customer to walk. I did the same with the SE 2020 (non 5G) 3 months ago at a Cricket store and dealing with the manager. Walked out with their $60. plan (covers me in Mexico) for $92. I actually prefer Cricket since it's easy to sim swap vs Metro where one has to call in to c/s with giving them the IMEI of the phone you want to swap to.

I have 9 lines. At one time every line had two EIP promos. And on the account level, I also had three more EIPs that were paid off but still receiving bill credits. So 21 total.

It is down to 15 EIPs now. I have also paid off a few to do more EIP promos, because each account is allowed only so much credit.

Not sure if they allow that many now, but yeah, you can definitely stack EIPs. You can even pay them off, continue to receive bill credits, do more EIP promos, rinse and repeat.
