Did they charge you the $35 assist fee?
Yes, but I hope to get that reversed once I get the phone. But I'm not gonna fight hard... Just gonna try asking nicely. If it doesn't succeed, that's fine... They gave me a new phone for a 10+ year old phone.

A suggestion again is to use the regular chat, not t force or ordering online. This will help a lot of people……..

This is not a good sign. Did you have one of those old 3g phones and have gotten the text/email regarding the offer and still experience this?

Not my experience, put through several orders via calling through to off shore reps promo appeared as it should, they know what they are doing, but you still have to ensure they notate the account or record just like with regular US reps...I however find the Phillippino reps more accommodating and generally more cheerful then US reps, both can screw it up just as bad as the other lol
Same. For either, keeping them accountable with careful records is key to help prevent screw-ups. Even with careful noting, screw-ups still happen but when you have your notes and records of who you spoke to, date and time, and exactly what was said and promised, you can generally be able to keep your promos. you also need to cross-check the notes reps put down since 90% of time they don't note down what they said they would (at least in my experience). I had an iphone 12 pro max promo that did not show up after 2 cycles. Rep 1 said he fixed it and will show next bill. Didn't show. Rep 2 said rep 1 noted that i called in "about promo not show up. advised customer to wait until next bill cycle" and nothing was done. Rep 2 manually fixed it but instead of $37/mo credit, I got only $5/mo credit. Rep 3 said Rep 2 noted that I was "qualified for promo" but didn't say which but she had found the promo and quoted me the correct amount I was supposed to receive. However, next bill was $18/mo credit. Rep 4 said Rep 3 input another promo that gave 50% off Iphone 12 so she put in a request to have it fixed. Next month, my promo went down to $5. I called in again and told Rep 5 to transfer me to a supervisor. After 2 hours, supervisor of supervisor offered to lower my total payment amount to make up for the difference after 24 months (i didn't know that they could do it). So she went in and changed the eip to take out the difference I should have gotten with the correct monthly credits. All of this is with a mix of US and Philippine reps. The promo was a short term promo available for only like 2 or 3 days that not a lot of people or reps or supervisors knew, or was able to find. I kept a detail record of this because I purchased it for someone else so if it didn't work out as it should, almost $900 would have to come out from my own pocket.

Asides from some language barrier, not a lot though, I find Philippine reps are more willing to accommodate your requests (like crediting for assisting charge when ordering over the phone).

Makes me wonder if it worth it. Seriously considering returning the iPhone and move on.

No, I didn't. I just inserted in a sim card in my 4s, the phone showed up on my account, and bought the phone through T mobile chat.

A quick question, did you see the offer (i.e. were you targeted) and purchase the iP se 3 online or did you have to call/chat to get the P038 promo applied manually?

My guess is that if you did the latter (which I did), the promo is going to be added automatically, but since it was added by the agent, it won't show until the payments start kicking in 2-3 cycles. Again, pure speculation. If all else fails, having a transcript of the chat will at least give you a good starting place for an argument. The latest posts seems to all revolve around the "just in case" scenarios. I think the first page of this thread, someone mentioned t-mo promos often requires ordering with blind faith.

No , I wasn't targeted by the promo, the agent applied it manually during the chat.
You are right, for the P30 I did order myself online, and the promo was there during the order processing. That the difference. Good catch.

Is there a limit in this promo? I see no mention of it here or in the promo details. Was able to get this for an old 5s (that for some reason was showing a large a 6s in their system so they had to manually appli the promo.) this is an extra phone in one of the free lines we have so good chance to upgrade for the cost of tax.
Another extra phone is a iPhone 7. But tempted to go buy a used older phone for $20 on eBay and stick in the sim and try to upgrade that one too.

I know it should appear. Took the sim from another free line and put into that old 5s before sending in. Checked the account and T-Mobile showed it (but as a 6s again).

Can find a 4s on eBay for $20 or less so may be worth it to get a $400 phone for $50 or so

Good luck. That is why you always do these kinds of override deals via chat. A lot of people here have horror stories due to broken verbal promises and bad intel from T-Mobile reps.
Thanks for the TIP! I used the chat to follow up on the EIP credit. The credit has not been applied because the return device is in transit. But the CSR added note to my account for promo p038 and assured me the credit will reflect on on my account when they receive the device. I took a screen shot of the chat.

My account updated from yesterday and now shows T-Mobile enrolled me in the wrong promo. I see 2022 Apple Trade P7 on my account. Should be P038 promo. I expected this to happen. That is why I saved screenshots of my chat.

Looks like it's "go time" vs T-Mobile. I'm ready for the fight bitches! LOL

Actually I'm going to wait until I receive the new iPhone from T-Mobile. Will open it and activate it on my account, trade in my old phone, then game on. Going to comply with the process by jumping through all of the hoops first so they cannot back out.

The screenshots of my chat should be enough ammo for them to manually change the promo. If they refuse, I will pay it off in full and file a chargeback on my credit card, but I doubt it will come to that.

I have had a similar situation occur in the past and they manually corrected it without any hassle. But that was under the old CEO when T-Mobile customer service rocked. We'll see how it goes this time.
