Guys, if you do not see anything, my suggestion is to call T-Mobile and ask if you are eligible for offer P038.

i ordered on the 11th, turned in the trade-in phone the same night, got the new phone on the 15th, and TForce actually helped me unlock that new phone on the 15th as well.
Nice that everything fell into place. Always helps when you find a cooperative T-Force rep. Turned out to be a sweet deal for you.

it's a long battle because it takes time for TForce to respond, and sometimes multiple reps throughout the day. others have worst luck calling tmo as one rep's promise doesn't mean it'll actually happen, so it's many many calls for them.

well, i just messaged TForce again, and this rep says my account/line shouldn't be qualified for this promo, and said it was an oversight from the other reps, but there was internal notes stating that my account qualifies, so he's gonna give me a lump sum of $430 credit. so i guess i got lucky and got it taken care of fairly quickly.
Nice! Even better! Don't have to wait 24 months to get all the credits.

How strict is TMO with trade in condition of the iPhone? I have an old iPhone 4. No dents or cracks. But it does have some, what looks like glue separating on the 3 out of the 4 corners under the display. Could very well be small cracks on the corner under the display. Can't feel it with my nails or fingers. Weird.

I'm only seeing the usual "up to $400 off" trade-in offers to buy a $400 SE (3)

HOWEVER, SE (1) devices are getting a higher than normal value of $100

my 13 mini is valued at $350
my 12 pro is valued at $365
my 7+ is valued at $35
my 6s are valued at $10

but
my SE (1) are valued at $100

not what I'm looking for, but maybe helpful to somebody else with SE (1) devices
I got the same situation. After talking to the TMO rep he informed I could proceed using the P7 Promo ( $100 trade-in credit + $4 credit/month) as it showed in the website and the system would automatically pick up the better offer.
It took a leap of faith, but I proceeded and after a few minutes received a text that I accepted a $0 trade-in offer for my device ( it means the system shifted to P038 - $0 trade-in and 24 x 17.91 credit).

The best practice is call 611, make sure you are eligible to P038 and then place the order online (if you want to save the $35)

Why do you think the $0 trade-in text means you got the right promo? I hope that's the case, but I have no evidence.

My guess was they actually just devalued my trade-in device because it isn't worth $100. Though that really is a bait & switch, since it happens before your trade-in is received.

That doesn't mean you got the promo. It's what would happen either way - $0 trade value and $100 (or $430) promo value. Your trade value will always say $0 on the old phones since they're not worth anything on their own.

Once your order gets ready to ship I would check the EIP. It'll show if any promo is attached. My guess is you'll see the $100 over 24 months.

I see several posts that say they have used "chat", which is NOT the same as t-force on twitter.

I am logged into my T-Mobile account online and do not see a "chat" option. What am I missing? Is this perhaps a feature from the T-Mobile App?

In the app, it's a chat bubble in the right upper corner...

The $430 iPhone upgrade offer is back in my tmobile page.

Problem now is I don't have an iPhone to trade in. By the time I got an iPhone, the offer may be gone. I don't recall a way to change the spec of the device I trade in after I purchase.

I am not a postpaid customer. It is not hard for you to get the info from the T-Mobile website.

So none of your lines has a 3G-based iPhone attached and the offer still shows up?

I have a spare line and took its sim card and plopped it into an iPhone 5s and no dice. But then again the unlocked iPhone 5s I have has LTE so not sure if it qualifies, even though original OP says it qualifies
