Guys, if you do not see anything, my suggestion is to call T-Mobile and ask if you are eligible for offer P038.

My account updated from yesterday and now shows T-Mobile enrolled me in the wrong promo. I see 2022 Apple Trade P7 on my account. Should be P038 promo. I expected this to happen. That is why I saved screenshots of my chat.

Looks like it's "go time" vs T-Mobile. I'm ready for the fight bitches! LOL

Actually I'm going to wait until I receive the new iPhone from T-Mobile. Will open it and activate it on my account, trade in my old phone, then game on. Going to comply with the process by jumping through all of the hoops first so they cannot back out.

The screenshots of my chat should be enough ammo for them to manually change the promo. If they refuse, I will pay it off in full and file a chargeback on my credit card, but I doubt it will come to that.

I have had a similar situation occur in the past and they manually corrected it without any hassle. But that was under the old CEO when T-Mobile customer service rocked. We'll see how it goes this time.
Thanks for the heads up. Was gonna do it via chat but I don't have time to fight, lol. My brother can continue to use the SE2 version, he's not complaining yet. I have an old XR and 11 so will wait until the holiday for trade in deals on those. Good luck with the fight.

I figure everyone who called or did the chat to get this when they weren't targeted with the P038 promo will have the same scenario as you.

It actually appears as 2022 UMTS Apple Upgrade P1
Yeah, 2022 UMTS Apple Upgrade P1 is the P038 promo. Same thing. I typed P038 because it was quicker.

The point was that my account was enrolled in an entirely different promo than P038 that was requested by me and agreed to by the call rep.

so i order the iphone 13 on the 11th, turned in the trade in iphone 3gs to the store that same night, i did get a text stating that the trade in has been received. so how much longer do i have to wait until they confirm my trade in is successful? as for the promo, TForce keeps on saying that it'll be on my account in 1-2 billing cycles, but my previous trade in promos has a much quicker turnaround, like i get a successful trade in text after a few days once they've received the phone.

Yup just clarifying to others what it should appear as on the account. Also some have reported the p1 promo on their account being replaced with the p7 as you said, so keep an eye out on it the TMo system is going crazy on this promo. TForce and social are all over the map on this when I initially asked them they said it was limited to one line that was designated specifically for the umts offer, then the rep I called in to said differently, they happened to process it correctly so far so good, keep your screenshots.

From my experience over the past year on the few EIP trade-in deals I did, I get the promo text after the phone ships (someone mentioned 5 days later so it may vary). Or you can look on your online account at the line the promo is tied to and look at the promo section and it should indicate. So it's likely correct you'll start to get the credit 1 or 2 billing cycle later because you haven't traded in your phone yet. On one of the EIP promos I did last year, I did so right before my billing cycle started again and I actually got the credit even before sending in the trade in phone.

So the start of of when you receive the credit may be 1-2 cycles later but you should get the promo text or promo indication on your account around the time the new phone ships. I haven't done a purchase/trade-in in store before so I don't know if you get the promo indication right away

If I do this trade in, will I be forced to use the SE for the full 2 years? I dont plan on selling the SE but I might want to buy a 14 after a year into the 2 year agreement.
Also, what happens if I want to trade in this SE for a 14 with Tmobile?

It should not take that long, you are right even mailing it in it was win/week or so, my promo offer appeared as soon as the phones were shipped to me. After I traded in the phone to the store they gave me a printed receipt that the trade was accepted in store and my online account showed pdf of the tradein accepted. This was last week with no update as of today on that. But my promo is still intact.

you dont have to activate your new phone at all. You can give it to anyone or sell it. if you want to trade it in the future on T-Mobile, you can just pay it off. you will still receive monthly credit. you dont have to pay it off if you trade in other store such as bestbuy, Samsung...

i never got the text or email with this offer, but TForce said one of my line was eligible for this P038 offer, so i asked them to help me order it. since i already got the new iphone and turned in my trade, and no mention of this promo under my EIP, i still have a few EIPs that has promos tied in. i'm afraid it'll be a long battle with TForce on asking them to manually add this promo to my account. sigh.

Same thing happened to me. Ordered on June 14th, and on the 15th I logged into my account to see that what should have been P038 was actually T833 (2022 Apple Trade P7). I contacted care via chat and hopefully they can fix.

Not sure why people keep posting that it will be a long fight with T-Mobile to correct the issue. I have done something similar in the past to have an incorrect promo manually corrected. It is quite straightforward and takes little time.

Go into chat. Tell them to look at your account for the reps notes who placed the order per the P038 promo when you ordered. If necessary, post screenshots confirming that was the agreement and it was confirmed by the rep at the time. Takes all of 10 minutes.

If they deny it, try another rep. If still denied, pay the new iPhone off in full and do a chargeback to your credit card citing bait and switch.

For a max of say 30 minutes of your time, plus cost of tax paid, you get a $430 iPhone.

it's a long battle because it takes time for TForce to respond, and sometimes multiple reps throughout the day. others have worst luck calling tmo as one rep's promise doesn't mean it'll actually happen, so it's many many calls for them.

well, i just messaged TForce again, and this rep says my account/line shouldn't be qualified for this promo, and said it was an oversight from the other reps, but there was internal notes stating that my account qualifies, so he's gonna give me a lump sum of $430 credit. so i guess i got lucky and got it taken care of fairly quickly.

Congrats. Like I said, people have this mindset that it will be a time-consuming hassle but it usually is resolved quickly. I received a lump sum credit last time too. Took like 5-10 minutes of my time. That's a good feeling.

Did your new iPhone actually ship yet, and did you send in your old trade device already?

It can be a long drawn out battle, I've had some of those with every carrier, but have always gone my way as long as you have some proof. It is always worth it, most people just don't understand how to play the game.

i ordered on the 11th, turned in the trade-in phone the same night, got the new phone on the 15th, and TForce actually helped me unlock that new phone on the 15th as well.
