Looks like it's "go time" vs T-Mobile. I'm ready for the fight bitches! LOL
Actually I'm going to wait until I receive the new iPhone from T-Mobile. Will open it and activate it on my account, trade in my old phone, then game on. Going to comply with the process by jumping through all of the hoops first so they cannot back out.
The screenshots of my chat should be enough ammo for them to manually change the promo. If they refuse, I will pay it off in full and file a chargeback on my credit card, but I doubt it will come to that.
I have had a similar situation occur in the past and they manually corrected it without any hassle. But that was under the old CEO when T-Mobile customer service rocked. We'll see how it goes this time.
I figure everyone who called or did the chat to get this when they weren't targeted with the P038 promo will have the same scenario as you.
The point was that my account was enrolled in an entirely different promo than P038 that was requested by me and agreed to by the call rep.

So the start of of when you receive the credit may be 1-2 cycles later but you should get the promo text or promo indication on your account around the time the new phone ships. I haven't done a purchase/trade-in in store before so I don't know if you get the promo indication right away
Also, what happens if I want to trade in this SE for a 14 with Tmobile?

Go into chat. Tell them to look at your account for the reps notes who placed the order per the P038 promo when you ordered. If necessary, post screenshots confirming that was the agreement and it was confirmed by the rep at the time. Takes all of 10 minutes.
If they deny it, try another rep. If still denied, pay the new iPhone off in full and do a chargeback to your credit card citing bait and switch.
For a max of say 30 minutes of your time, plus cost of tax paid, you get a $430 iPhone.

well, i just messaged TForce again, and this rep says my account/line shouldn't be qualified for this promo, and said it was an oversight from the other reps, but there was internal notes stating that my account qualifies, so he's gonna give me a lump sum of $430 credit. so i guess i got lucky and got it taken care of fairly quickly.

Did your new iPhone actually ship yet, and did you send in your old trade device already?
