Guys, if you do not see anything, my suggestion is to call T-Mobile and ask if you are eligible for offer P038.

OP here (I received the targeted T-mobile email).. My brother had an unused Verizon iPhone 5S. I was able to upgrade online one of my other lines (which did not have a 3G iphone) today with his IMEI (I will be using his phone).. So the offer is still good.

Can someone who has received this deal confirm that this is how it works?

- Simple Choice Family Plan
- iPhone 5s on one of the lines we have

I went in store and was told the line I want to upgrade isn't eligible for this PO38 promo. I went home and tried chat and was told they'd call me to discuss. The rep seemed very unsure but eventually she came with:

- $0 for phone up front for a 64GB iPhone SE 3rd Gen
- $35 upgrade service fee + $14 shipping + $43.59 taxes on the original phone selling price
- 3 months for the trade in credits to start showing, would require me to send phone in and verify acceptable condition
- Asked over and over that there would be no changes to our monthly charges outside of the upgrade.

Was anyone else not charged for the new phone up front? It seems wrong that I'm charged nothing up front and will still be sent a new phone. Why would the 24 bill credits start for me after device verification start if I never even paid for a device up front? Not complaining of course Smilie

Anyone was able to trade-in a cracked iphone 4s yet? I was told by the rep that the tradein value is $0 so I am assuming that this trade-in value is by the 3rd party and the $430 credit is by Tmobile, so worst case $430 credit by Tmobile would stay they might deny the cracked screen trade-in but nothing to loose here right any thoughts? anyone did this in similar situation, please advise..

It's interesting that you can see it. I don't see it on any of the few lines I did the upgrade. But I ask via chat if they see the promo (correct promo), they say yes.
My account was targeted and throughout the checkout process it shows the correct promo and discount $430 so i am not too worry.
I upgraded 3 lines online myself. 2 of the 3 device tradein were received and inspected. Still no promo on my lines. I chat and the rep Just told me to wait 1 to 2 billing cycles. He said I will get the credit for sure.

So far I followed the same steps, I paid 29$ in taxes for $SE 3rd Gen 64GB & $100 for iPhone11, shipping was free & $35 was waived as account is in good standing for both the phones..

No, the promotion does NOT show up on my EIP. I saved screenshots of the offer and a pdf of the review order page (showing the 24 month rebate credit promotion).before submitting the order.

Hmm. So your first order is the same? Not showing promotion under eip? To be clear I meant the device payment section of your account when you logined to TMobile, not the actual eip document

So when do we get charged for the phone so that the credits can offset?

I'll try chatting to get the upgrade charge credited.

I think the upgrades are unlimited if you get the email.
All the lines says eligible. I upgraded a few lines already. I never had any iphone older than iphone 6s on any of my lines.

Can somebody NOT targeted explain where I should look for the promo info after I purchase? On website or on app?

I'm not looking for the device credits. I'm looking for the P1, or P7 if they did it wrong. I'm not even sure when it becomes viewable. After purchase? After trade-in received? Longer?

Not sure what you mean exactly. The promo was switched from P7 to P1 on my account today. It now shows up in my account correctly as 2022 UMTS Apple Upgrade P1 for $17.92 monthly credits for 24 months. Previously it showed $4.17 monthly credits for 24 months.
Mine did not change as of yet.

It's not that difficult. You're reading way too deep into this and passing on a nearly free iPhone based on recent experiences mostly from newbs who sometimes complicate things. You do you, but before you make a final decision, here's the reality of how it works:

Call 611 to order a new iPhone. Get a rep to apply the P038 promo in the order notes. Provide IMEI of 3g iPhone you're trading. After new phone is delivered, mail trade-in device. Wait for promo to post. It will be P7. Tweet Tforce to manually correct promo to P1 as promised. Sit back and wait for P1 to show on account correctly in about 2 weeks.

That's it. Boom, (almost) free iPhone. It's not complicated and not much time invested for a $430 credit. Just my opinion.

Sorry but what is the difference between P7 & P1 promo's? I see online on Tmobile site while ordering as P7..see copy paste from notes:

Contact us before cancelling service to continue remaining bill credits, or credits stop & balance on required finance agreement is due (e.g., $799.99 - iPhone 13 128GB / $429.99 - iPhone SE 5G 3rd Gen 64GB). Tax on pre-credit price due at sale. Limited-time offer; subject to change. Qualifying credit, service & trade-in (e.g., $400 off: Apple iPhone X / $200 off: Apple iPhone 7 / $100 off: Apple iPhone 6) required. In stores & on customer service calls, $35 assisted or upgrade support charge may be required. Up to $400 via trade-in credit and bill credits; must be active and in good standing to receive credits; allow 2 bill cycles. Max 4/account. May not be combinable with some offers or discounts.

There are a few ways to see on Website. Main account page 'My Line' -> 'Installment plan' -> Promotion section will list 2022 UMTS Apple Upgrade P1. Time period varies, some people a few weeks after trade in. Others contact T-force/call to get them force the promo on their account in a few days.
