I was able to get Walmart to refund the $50 price difference as a price adjustment, because I took delivery of it just 7 days ago (didn't even have to do the hassle of a return-rebuy).
I posted a bit of a mini-review in the other thread if anyone is interested. This thing is NICE, especially if your uses are more than just high-end gaming. Bought this for a daily driver, playing the occasional game, so the 60Hz screen doesn't bother me at all. Extremely well built machine for the price. I'm throwing in some more memory and a 1TB SSD, and it should last me a few years.

Either add a second similar 8GB 1Rx16 module (mine had a Hynix original module), or pick up a couple matching 8GB or 16GB chips.

Would you say the thermals are better for light tasks like reading a pdf file or excel. Because I had the legion slim 7 and it would turn on occasionally. The sound of the fan was not pleasant. I'm hoping with this bigger chassis the sound would be smoother
My purpose is for occasional gaming, but mostly productivity. I don't mind throwing an extra 8g ram if that makes it better

Is this a better deal? Don't care about screen size as I'll use an external monitor. Other specs look similar.

But that 8 GB of memory, if upgradeable, that would be wonderful.
